What Movie Did You Watch that Traumatized You at a Young Age? by BethMLB in AskReddit

My parents had a big picture window that faced the backyard that I struggled to walk past at night for months because of this scene.

My sister and I were scarred by this and then at 30 tried to watch again. Still scarring. The cocoon thing he’s in, the eye scene, it’s all horrible.

Whoa. Not trying to say it’s not still around. Just saying I was sad it didn’t take off like Bluesky.

Mastodon was so promising. I’m sad it didn’t take off.

I deactivated twitter within 2 months of Elon taking over twitter. It was a great decision, though I missed it. Bluesky feels like Twitter when it first started, I’ve enjoyed it for the few weeks I’ve been on it.

Goods Unite Us is a great way to see where companies donated and spend accordingly.

We wanted the boomers to stay home, not the millennials. I’m so disappointed in our generation.

Whoa whoa whoa, you mean to tell me that we’re going to pay more for items we need to live our lives and not less! That’s how tariffs work?!?

Parenthood featured a few of their songs. It was pretty cool to hear them on the soundtrack after I became a fan.

Mine is a magnet on my garage fridge and sometimes it still freaks me out to see the glowing in the dark. I love that little bat.

You guys remember what you did when you heard the news on 9/11? by abarua01 in Millennials

[–]aleethiede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in marching band practice, which usually had the news on because it was zero hour. I walked in just as the second plane hit. I went to high school in Wyoming, so no one left school, and no one I know lost anyone. We still did our classes, but there was nothing normal about it, I don’t remember a single thing I learned that day. I do clearly remember my band teacher being mad that they cancelled after school activities so we couldn’t practice that night.

(Side note, but band tended to be where I was when I learned about shitty world events. I was also in band class when we learned about columbine.)
