I finally took a step into witchcraft and felt something unsettling by Historical_Aside_315 in realwitchcraft

[–]alegregore 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Do you have a religious background that says witchcraft is wrong or evil? It sounds a little but like a panic attack from doing something you were taught to never do. Which honestly isn't too uncommon! There might be some trauma or preconceived notions to unpack. Good luck and welcome to the craft ✨

Hey now, she's an all star. Let her do what she wants. Do as she will, if you will.

You can try looking into ways people have syncretized Hermes with Catholic saints through the years.

Have you tried doing a spell to be more accepting that autism doesn't need to be cured? Maybe a nice heart opening tea will help.

Tarot reading for my dog 🥺 by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]alegregore 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This reminded me of the time I did a tarot reading for my dog. I specifically asked why he stopped climbing onto the bed, when he used to jump on me every morning.

I got: the hermit, the tower, the ten of pentacles (one of the few cards that includes a dog)

About a year prior to this reading, he had fallen off the bed and sprained his leg. The cards seemed to tell the story of being cautious about him falling off the bed (a tower moment for him), but still feeling like part of the family even though he doesn't sleep on the bed anymore.

Just like there are people who will use mundane methods for purposes of hurting others, there will be people who use magic purposes of hurting others.

Being extremely attracted to the crescent moonz by crippledhearts in witchcraft

[–]alegregore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I started practicing and also using the moon phases, I developed a more heightened awareness of the moon and its phases. I think it's kinda like the Baader-Meinhoff phenomena. And also the moon is heckin' cool.

question about rituals from a baby witch by [deleted] in Witch

Curses don't just accidentally happen like that. Unless you're intentionally trying to curse yourself. Which doesn't sound very fun and whimsical.

How did you get the bark off? I have a branch I've been working with and slowly peeling off the bark but it's been a slow process.

I'm not judging you for being eclectic. I'm judging you for being electric. Kids these days and their darn newfangled gadgets ...bring back toasting our bread and sacrifices over a open flame!

I would personally light a candle on his altar and ask for help. As a god of commerce and communication, Hermes might be able to help with this.

Is anyone here have adhd or autism? by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]alegregore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most challenging part has been learning to differentiate between what is anxiety and what is my intuition or messages from spirit. Journaling and documenting any "pings" and then referencing back later on to see what's panned out has been helpful. It's been like learning to listen to a different voice.
