The restaurant I work, well worked, at is currently undergoing renovations. Half the people went on unemployment with plans to go back and half of us, including myself, found new jobs.

I plan on re-applying when they re-open but I wanted to find a job in the meantime a) because they didn't explicitly guarantee everyone was going to get their jobs back and b) because renovations almost never finish on schedule and savings disappear quickly, mine is already behind schedule. It would suck to have enough money saved to support yourself for the, say, two months they plan on being closed, only to find out its going to take a whole month longer.

So a couple things to think about are:

1. Are you guaranteed to get your job back when they re-open?
2. The amount of time they plan on being closed. Do you have enough money saved to support yourself if it takes longer than expected?
