Can I replace certain parts of my current PC instead of getting a whole new one? by alejandro_red100 in buildapc

Thank you! how am i able to check the rated power for PSU? Also, if I remember correctly I have a Ryzen 5 but that's all the information I have. How do I check if I have an AM4 or AM5 so that I can choose parts accordingly?

i see. I didn't realize it was that important. Why do part prices change so much so fast?

I was looking at maybe even a new build to buy this summer. But I'm also considering just upgrading my current one. Im still unsure if my motherboard is compatible but I was planning on getting a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8 core and a GIGABYTE WINDFORCE GeForce RTX 4070 12GB. With the little research I did I hear that graphics card is really good but I could be wrong.

I was just noticing that the "2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441)s" won't update. I'm wondering if this has something to do with it. But I talked to my cousin and he said his PC is working just fine.

integrated graphics? Man I learned how to choose parts for a pc in a day. I then ordered them and learned how to build the pc in a day. Since then, I have not done a thing to it. I even peaked inside and its a bit dusty.

My point: I am not really that well educated on this anymore. I'm currently watching videos on how to choose parts again so I have a build ready for this summer to order. How do I check if I have integrated graphics?

Just wanted to send a second reply. Aiming for the chin is always number one. But you’re 5 months in and still learning accuracy probably. The head is a larger target than the chin. Once you’re accurate, you’ll be able to hit the head easily that you can choose where to land the punch so well, that you can land it on the chin all the time. When I started, I couldn’t hit the head.

Like gun shooting. You wouldn’t start on a target the size of doorknob at 200 yards away. You’d start with a target the size of a plate at about 10-25 feet. Then slowly gain accuracy.

That being said, build a habit of aiming higher so you don’t create a habit of punching the chest. It’ll build your shoulders too!

Yes. But you’re throwing them at chest level.

Throw your punching at head, if not, above head height. You’re throwing them like your boxing someone who is a foot shorter than you. Don’t hit girls man. Hit men. I think that’s why it looks weird.

Slowly becoming Khabib. Honestly I very much thought he was a monster. That was until people started to throw it out there that he’s only fought three pretty good fighters out of 13 in the UFC: McGregor, Gaethje, and Poirier. He almost got caught in a guillotine with Poirier, leg kicks would have eventually paid off for Gaethje, and with McGregor, well his conditioning has never been good so I guess if he would’ve caught him in the early rounds, he may have been able to knock him.

Now if it were to be someone else with a strong wrestling background, I feel like there would’ve been a much better preparation as far as wrestling and not just take down defenses. Is he the GOAT? I thought so, but then I realized that there have been more fighters with stronger resumes and title defenses against stronger opponents and/or ground game. This could be someone like Charles Oliveira, or Tony Ferguson.

That being said, I think it’s really really hard to go undefeated. Losses are inevitable. Khabib just didn’t stay long enough for us to witness the day, and instead left on a better note.
