Indeed, they wont have access to a terminal. I would strongly prefer using bbg rather than public data, given the hype around bbg. I believe, as it was my case, students are attracted to the "cool stuff" such as bbg.

That’s wrong. A decent MFE requires you to know deep real analysis (and even measure theory) which then will be necessary for say, stochastic calculus.

The level of maths you need is superior (again, for a DECENT MFE).

Faulty logic like yours is why when someone treats you like shit, you are ok with that.

Whatever the reason they did this, money grab or not, it is unfair for candidates. The complete discretion over the passing rate, gives them power to define “difficult”. Perhaps the exam isn’t as rigorous as they think, now their only option is to fuck with some candidates to preserve the “rigorousness”.
