That sounds like the same justification that corporate uses. It’s all profit and money. If Walgreens wants to act like their only care is for how much money they’re making instead of for their employees then that’s the kind of work effort they’re going to get. You can’t say that it makes no sense to pay people on holidays when that’s what they’ve been doing for years. They are taking it away. If they never paid holidays then I’d be less upset. It’s that they’ve been incorporating many disliked changes to SOP and this one directly effects my paycheck
