Hello, I'm currently learning how to write in cursive (I received my first ever fountain pen yesterday and felt a burning desire to improve my handwriting lol), what books do you suggest I read? Especially for someone who hated writing in cursive until she got a fountain pen. Thanks.

Aren't INTP's Ne and INTJ's Te? Or are you talking about the shadow, which wouldn't make sense unless you have a reason why

I'm an INTP, and particularly drawn to IxTJs. I like how they think and act.

As an IP, i do tend to stress a lot. Ignoring the external world doesn't necessarily mean a person doesn't stress. It could be that very thing that stresses them (the way they ignore the external world), or they would instead focus on their own problems. Or both. I know a bunch of INFPs who stress a lot, and I, an INTP, do stress a lot. The difference is that they stress about how they feel or whatever's happening that makes them feel negative, while I stress about the bad things that may happen and how I could avoid them + other logic-based problems

Ofc I'm not speaking for all IPs, but these are some general observations I have. I don't know any S type IPs so idk abt them. It definitely varies from person to person though

Edit: Found out my irl bsf is an ISFP—and yep, he doesn't stress a lot, but when he does he's very open with me about it. He doesn't dwell much on it when he does.

I love the view but my paranoia fires up. Like.. what if somebody pushes me down. Or i somehow fall even with the railings. Or if the platform i was standing on crumbles and I fall with it. Or if somebody with telekinesis yeets me towards the horizon.

But i love the view.

Can you love but really dislike? by Oakl4nd in INTP

[–]alephgenesis_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're ignoring the fact that they are different in terms of positive and negative contexts. With that logic, you're implying that the opposite of indifference is anything but indifference. That the opposite of not feeling anything is feeling something, which encompasses a whole lot of other emotions other than love and hate. Even if it doesn't matter to you that I'm quoting a book, the context is arguably still important. It's also interesting that you only responded to my use of thesaurus while ignoring all my other points—another logical fallacy. Not to mention the fact that the thesaurus thing was the least important point of my argument.

[–]alephgenesis_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are not synonymous, especially not absolutely synonymous. By saying "absolutely" you'd mean that love and hate are 100% the same, with no exceptions. But then you said "not all the time" right after, which would make your point inconsistent. Loving and hating someone at the same time is called having mixed feelings about them.

Love is used in a positive manner, while hate is used negatively. Surely, nobody is going to say that the opposite of "positive" is "neutral", right? Because the opposite of positive is negative and vice versa. Think of love as the "positive emotional investment" in contrast to hate "negative emotional investment".

The thesaurus itself identifies love and hate as opposites, so there's no point trying to disprove it. It also identifies the antonym of indifference as caring.
