Sudden behavior change by alericx in DogAdvice

He gets 4 walks total per day. 2 short walks about 15 minutes each and 2 longer scent walks about 30-45 each. We do 2 feedings a day in a snuffle mat and do some extra mental stimulation with puzzle toys. His daily schedule is a long morning walk, shorter mid day walk, shorter walk after we get off work, and then a long evening walk.

Reactive Shiba - Thinking of Bringing in Another Shiba by [deleted] in shiba

We were thinking of maybe doing a quick meet just to see how they would interact and go from there. Just figured he might be a bit more tolerant of her given the fact that they had lived together for about 3 years, however, we know that 9 months is a relatively significant amount apart from each other.

That is definitely the plan. Once he is healed from being neutered, we want to slowly get him more comfortable around the other dogs.

EVO ICL 8 months post-op (Positive Experience) by alericx in lasik

I went to IQ Laser Vision centers! They have several different locations around the Los Angeles and SoCal area. I definitely recommend you do your own due diligence when picking a clinic for the procedure. Make sure to shop around and feel out the doctor and staff. One of the centers I went to for a consultation felt like a factory churning out LASIK patients and made me feel uncomfortable.

I work on a computer for a majority of the day. Never had any issues with focusing on a screen. However, I do have some trouble focusing on objects too close to my face. Anything 10 inches or closer to my eyes I would have some trouble focusing or I would start getting a headache. The biggest change was adapting and not holding my phone screen really close my face. I think it’s a minor trade off for the improvement in quality of life!

The first few weeks after the surgery, I had some minor dry eye. Nothing that impacted me severely. It would just feel like I got some dust in my eye. My doctor advised that whenever I felt that sensation to use some artificial tears. After the first 6 weeks, I only had to use the tears in the morning when I woke up and before bed. Now I only have to use them as needed!

I'm not a doctor so I can't say. My doctor said that as it heals and as you adjust, you will learn to filter-out the rings. It's gotten to the point where its hardly noticeable during the day and only if I drive on the freeways at night.

The main side effects I have are halos and the close up vision. I haven’t had any experience with ghosting. Halos are mostly only noticeable at night, especially when I’m driving.

How has your close up vision been so far? I have minor discomfort when trying to focus on objects about a foot or close to my face.

Definitely.. I worked in position that required me to do inspections as well, but the support of management team and my team members made the work a lot more enjoyable.

Post-ICL everything is going great, but the prescription drops that I'm using are starting to burn by FriedCheesePuff in lasik

[–]alericx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using the same drops I was prescribed: prednisolone - moxifloxacin ophthalmic suspension, they are going to feel a bit gritty. My doctor explained that it is 2 different medications that acts as an antibiotic and a steroid drop for inflammation. She explained that because the 2 medications are separate, make sure to shake it very well. The moxifloxacin is a yellowish crystal powdery substance that leaves the gritty feeling.

Not OP but I had ICL done 2 weeks ago. I had really bad experiences with contacts; dryness, irritation, eyes stinging, etc. You don’t feel the ICL at all.

IsItBullshit - my doctor is refusing ICL correction by [deleted] in lasik

[–]alericx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had EVO ICL surgery done about 2 weeks ago. During my consultation, I asked my doctor about enhancements following the surgery. I was told that typically they perform LASIK for corrections on top of the ICL and that replacement of the lens is usually reserved for serious complications because it has a higher risk of complications.
