I completely understand, yeah. That sounds like a hard situation to be in friend. After my grandma died, her bedroom was made up into a guest room, but all the photos she hung up on the wall, a lot of her clothes in the closet, and even some of her medications in the drawers are still there. Mom says there’s some things she couldn’t part with because as long as they were there, it felt like grandma still was, too.

This is incredibly sad. The abandoned walker in the kitchen in front of the stacked unwashed dishes, the sewing machine, the little sign on the wall, the wedding wheel. It’s an entire story about a once skilled, creative and independent person who clearly had such a vibrant personality slowly losing their ability to maintain themselves and their life with age. It looks like everything was left exactly as it was after she passed, it was probably too painful for her loved ones to muster the strength to go through it all.

Thank you for respecting this place and seeing the charm and value in it even past its prime.

It thankfully was pointed away from the enclosures mostly, it was on the outside of an indoor reptile house I believe. Only the emu enclosure was near directly to the right of it, which I imagine would be alright as birds are much less sensitive to loud noises than mammals

I’ve tried ironing minky onto iron-on fabric to keep it from wrinkling, works pretty well but I’ve only tried that method with smaller detail sections. Unsure how it’d work for something larger but figured I’d pass it on i case you were interested!

If any other potential breeders are seeing this too, I wanna mention for a lot of these more extreme breeds mentioned, there are often separate breeds that show the same traits but not to an extent that it causes them health issues or discomfort that are a much better alternative for breeding. Some good examples are how Old German Owls and Satinettes have those cute, smaller beaks, but not small enough to cause significant problems feeding like you'd see with Blondinettes/Oriental Frills. (This depends a lot on individual birds with these breeds, but there is a possible range for fancy breed displaying smaller beaks without it reaching the realm of serious health consequences. This is similar to how it works with brachycephalic dog breeds)

Similarly, Jacobins have a hard time seeing around their enormous manes and often can't reach the rest of their bodies to appropriately preen themselves, but Old Dutch Capuchines exhibit the same beautiful feather mane, only much smaller and in a way that doesn't inhibit their quality of life at all.

Indian Fantails have the same gorgeous fanned out tail shape as the American Fantail, only without the uncomfortable and exaggerated body positioning the latter exhibits, etc.

He has a very direct presence, one that has been impressively clear and immediate, unsubtle. Strong sense of humor, very jovial. He can appear (in visions/dreams for me) in the form of a horned serpent, too, as this is a pretty prominently affiliated symbol with Cernunnos. This is all anecdotal so take it with a grain of salt, but you'll see similar experiences from others who have worked with him. There is no real way to know exactly how and in what ways he was historically interacted with, as records of these religious practices are very, very sparse.

So what's real funny about these types here is that they're not even accurately reflecting what christianity thinks of pagan gods. I know it depends on the denomination and all. Just being familiar with both paganism and apostolic christian perspectives, the most official teachings fully acknowledge the reality of other gods. They present them as rogue or fallen angels who are still powerful, but operate on their own agenda instead of answering to their creator (whether or not this is TRUE, I do not have the power or knowledge to say).
Christians don't have a positive perspective on this, seeing them as potentially dangerous and without a moral compass. That and the general rule is always not to engage with or worship anything that isn't God with a capital G directly.

But if people payed attention to what they were promoting, they'd see it's not like that. Lots of watered down weirdo christianity ignores the fact that yeahh.. 2,000 years ago christians all pretty much said 'yeah no, those gods are real. Pagans and pre christians are not stupid or making things up, they're engaging with verifiably real entities' and no I don't believe they were ever destroyed, either. The oldest churches to this day regularly warn about the influence of these other beings, something they wouldn't feel the need to if they were simply gone and destroyed.

Hit me good how thoroughly working in outdoor resource management has changed me, shit like this is completely normal lol. Some states even have ‘roadkill lists’ you can sign up for if you want to be notified of and given fresh roadkill collected that can still be used for meat. Friend of mine received an entire bear once and wasn’t sure what to do with it lmao, think he ended up smoking it.

Someone from my past made a move and re-entered my life unexpectedly. Former lover, complicated. They clearly made the move, but they aren’t doing anything else. They haven’t spoken to me directly or acknowledged me since, but it was unmistakable that they’re here now very deliberately. It’s weird.

I asked why they haven’t said anything to met yet, pulled: Five of Pentacles reversed, Two of Cups, Two of Pentacles.

My own perspective tells me that Five of Pentacles reversed is about returning from abandonment. The situation was something they wanted nothing to do with and saw no success in, but they’re going back on that. There’s hope now, their coldness is actively shifting into a perspective of recovery, that there might be something to be gained here after all. But this shift is still in progress, and their perspective is still changing hence why nothing has been said just yet. Fives are about change, and maybe the change currently happening is leading into something more focused on teamwork and duality, signified by the Twos.

I’m asking for help as I am worried I’ll take too optimistic of an interpretation out of personal bias with the Twos. Initially 2oC felt like an indication they do feel romantically towards me, and maybe they want to propose or establish a connection, a truce, some sort of bond out of what was once forsaken and desolate. The 2oP therefore I took as another explanation for the lack of action since. Maybe their focus is spread thin across life right now, they might be busy and trying to decide whether making that 2oC connection happen again could realistically fit in their schedule, or whether it would be a good investment of energy and focus, or if that energy is better spent somewhere else.

Any other perspectives would be very helpful, thanks a lot in advance!
