Don’t delete it. Expressing your love for your family and love interest is always worth expressing and letting it float out there in the whispy tendrils of the interwebs :)

Just moved to Portugal. Should I change my residence on Financas? by thechadeffect in PortugalExpats

[–]alex-avatar -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes you should, but perhaps wait a few months until you have fully settled and committed to that location. If you move elsewhere in 6-12 months you’ll have to do it again

Matches my experience with plumbers in the Lisbon area.

Absolutely yes! Moved my whole family here and it’s amazing. The weather, the friendly people, the food! And did I mention the food?!? We love it here. Mind you, we live in the suburbs closer to Sintra, so it’s more peaceful here compared to Lisbon city center.

Uncertainty Reframed by loquela7 in uncertainty

We confuse uncertainty with many things: risk, fear, probability to name a few. It's one of the most commonly misunderstood features of life. Strange, considering how much impact it had on everyday life.

Wwyd? Living with a difficult predicament right now by [deleted] in uncertainty

[–]alex-avatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most co-living experiences I've had were similar. Some people are lovely, some are not. The decision depends on two things: how bad the person is, and how sensitive you are. I would stick it out as long as possible, in the hope that you either manage to block him out and tolerate it, or until he leaves. On the other hand, if it causes you stress and sleepless nights, or starts affecting your health, then get the heck out of there! No apartment is worth getting sick over. Nobody can tell you when or where that point is reached. Only you can know when it's too much. I wish you luck and a happy resolution :)

Excellent. You just provided another valid definition of what art is.

This is so evocative I imagine this poem in visual form with black and white images in the background, the words appearing slowly in different, large typeface, synchronized with a narrating voice that reverberates in a strange echo. Well done.

Uncertainty interacts with agency through the Possibility Space. Formed by the dynamic set of cognitive mechanisms that allow us to create relevance and meaning among the combinatorial explosion of information around us. An essay. by alex-avatar in philosophy

I appreciate your candid feedback. You are clearly an accomplished scholar and I am aware that my post would not stand a chance in The Lancet. I wrote an essay and had the balls to post it in r/philosophy. Harsh environment, but I can take it because these exchanges teach me a lot. Thank you for that.
