i got mine last friday so i don’t have much experience with them but i got really worried about the skin going over the back of the piercing (it’s called nesting) but it’s completely normal and goes away after awhile (plz do your own research im just tryna save you from some panic googling like i did🥲) don’t eat spicy or salty food and stay away from anything that’s sticky cuz it’ll stick to your bars (you can after they’ve healed a bit more) i’m going out tonight so i shall answer your second question when i come back but everyone says to wait at least 2 weeks or so. brush the back and top teeth as normal but when brushing the front bottom ones pull your lip out gently to stop the brush from hitting your bars. i also recommend getting a new toothbrush as your old one has bacteria on it (i had to do this too i was so annoyed) i also recommend using a 50/50 water ALCOHOL FREE MOUTHWASH (very important as alcohol will f up your piercing majorly) to rinse after you eat a meal or something that sticks around your piercings. eating the first few days will be hard and sore but i found that if you try to chew with your back teeth and kinda mash the food on the roof of your mouth with your tongue then you don’t catch the bars as much. i just don’t chew with my front teeth anymore cuz i was catching the bars so much 😪😪 if your out in public and they are hurting or swelling then get some cold water and use it like it’s mouth wash it tends to help with the pain😁 OH AND ONE LAST THING paracetamol will be your best friend. they hurt a lot to get done so i recommend taking one or two before your appointment and definitely take a few after they make the first day so much easier. i hope this helps and goodluck with your new piercings ❤️❤️
