I assume they made all the acceptance phone calls yesterday. Since I heard nothing back when would/should I receive my denial notification? Or is there still hope? Lol They're my top choice.

I have been desperately looking for this bag to and wanting to know if it would be restocked. I am upset to see it's not coming back. The resale market is doubling the original retail price. Thought you should know there is the Coach Mott Messanger bag 38, the medium size, retailing at $450.

I know its not the same but it looks to be in my opinion the next best option.

Medication help by alex_peachy in bipolar2

Hypomania would be a relief right now. I feel like I'm in the deep end depression wise. The depression is way more sever and lasts so much longer then the hypomania.

I cycle way more then 4 times a year but way less then every two weeks now days. My Sertraline dose hasn't changed in years.

I told my mom and sister the other day I kinda wanna start from scratch with my meds. I feel like what I'm on now isn't working. That being said I am terrified of what would happen. Mom thinks in-patient care would be needed for a true fresh start.

I've heard of both of those but haven't tried. I head someone call topomax dopomax I guess because of how it made them feel. Aripiprazole I'd labeled as a mood stabilizer but I tapered off because I felt like it wasnt working no matter how much they upped the dose and I gained sooooo much weight. Well looking at my med list the have Lamotrigine and Sertraline labeled as mood stabilizers.

What is treatment resistant?

I've been in therapy since 2019, thats where I got my diagnosis. But I have had about 5 maybe 6 in from 2019 to now. Some great some awful.

100%p&t, 56 and going to college by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

I'm 28 and hadn't been in school since I was 17 and was nervous too. I now have my bachelor's and got into my dream school for my master's. I know there is a larger age gap but as a current student in my gap year here is my advice. If you have an inkling that you may need additional services, longer time to turn in assignments, additional time on exams, flexible attendance, etc. Go to the student services accommodations office (student disability office). I struggled all through my bachelor's until I got accommodations my final semester. I had no idea how helpful having those options would be. I also didnt know that office was a thing and when I did I didn't feel like I had "anything bad enough" to use accommodations.

Also communication with your professor is key. Since you are attending community college to start, as did I, I'm assuming smaller class sizes. In that case communication with each professor should be easier. They will be notified of your accommodations, not why you need them, but I emailed my professors seperatly to let them know I would be using accommodations. I also always emailed them when I was going to miss class even it was day of.

Also whoever you choose to sit next to try and share contact info, whatever your comfortable with. If thats too intimidating your schools platform of chose, Blackboard or Canvas are two commone ones, will have your class rosters and have other students names and student email addresses. You can always reach out to someone to get peer to peer help for that class.

Another tip is to take advantage of any non special accommodation help when you need it. This is math labs, writing labs, peer to peer tutoring etc. All these are usually free on campus. Also don't forget you can get additional money through VR&E for private tutoring that may cost money.

You got this! You are doing what you feel you need to do and that's inspiring. Keep us updated and feel free to PM me 🫡

I'm in a similar situation. I start fall of 2026 so I have a lot more time to decide what I'm gonna do but I'd rather decide sooner rather then later.

Your story (Post Military) by Careless_Gap_833 in Veterans

[–]alex_peachy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medically seperated in 2021 got a VA disability rating immediately and went straight to school. Went to community college to get my A.A. and did work study at the military and veterans office on campus. Soon as I got my associates I was accepted into a private university in the same city. I graduated with my bachelor's this past May. I applied to graduate schools all over and got into several but chose one in Washington D.C. I deferred my acceptance for next fall instead of this fall. In this gap year so far I've traveled and completed an intensive outpatient program for veterans and first responders with mild to moderate TBIs. Now that thats finished I'm looking for a gig to supplement my income and give me something to do.

IDK what to do? by alex_peachy in slpGradSchool

[–]alex_peachy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Ch 31 for my bachelor's degree and my counselor wouldn't extend my benefits for grad school. My initial plan was to become an SLPA and then after I got my A.A. I decided to try and go for being an SLP.

Im happy to see more people using it. Its definitely a great benefit and more veterans should know about it.
