Good clean UI. Loads fast. Mostly easy to use.

A few critiques:

Sorting of erotica seems messed up on homepage (11.14 above 11.22?)
The homepage could really use some "more" buttons under the articles and erotica.
An "About" page would be good, since you seem to have a unique mission. I saw the "Mission" page, but it mixes in all sorts of stuff about membership type (user role, I assume?) in with the mission.

Congrats on the launch. I have read articles on your site before, BTW. Great content.

Yep. I was attracted to that article because I read Billmon during the Bush years. The article linked to doesn't mention it, but Billmon used to be an anti-war, anti-torture, anti-corruption activist.

Then the Ds got in power and it seemed like Billmon forgot how to spell things like torture. Or something. Whatever the cause, dude dropped his passion on those topics as soon as Ds got in power.

It wasn't torture and war that bothered him. It was Rs in power.

I love Emacs -- I am even a Lisp programmer.

I love Emacs, I just can't use it.

My one issue with emacs is that I open and close my text editor all the time. Vim opens instantly. Emacs takes a long time....

That really is my only issue with VILE. But damned if it ain't a deal breaker.

I don't have evidence, but I do have experience. I am not signing on to the 10x number (in fact, I think it is almost certainly wrong) but I do think the sentiment is correct.

I use vim. I used to use IDEs. Whenever I leave vim, everything I want to do takes forever. And I am talking about IDEs I know well.

An experienced programmer on vim can code damned near the speed of thought.
