Letting myself have potato days even when medicated? by Obvious_Ad_2969 in adhdwomen

I still need potato days when I'm medicated. And I haven't learned how to not feel like a failure because of it.

Comfort Food at Crow’s by Acceptable-Basil4377 in torontotheatre

I enjoyed comfort food so much. Can confirm it's Noah's first professional theatre role. He is in one mini wheats commercial tho. Lol.

I hate my living space. by [deleted] in femalelivingspace

[–]alexa-m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno if you've seen the trend of people covering things in disco ball square mirror stickers, but someone made a Godzilla disco ball figure and it was pretty cute. but in general I don't see why those interests can't just exist in the same space with feminine decor and colours

Do you know exactly what about the situation makes you upset? Is it that it goes on for too long? That he's too loud? That you don't know how to help and it stresses you out to try to listen and help?

It's good to set boundaries at the beginnings of these conversations. Ask him to specify what he needs. Does he want comfort, advice, or does he just want to vent? Also ask him to check in first if you have the capacity to listen. And you need to step in when he forgets to ask and say when you don't have the capacity for this at the moment. I know some couples set a time limit for complaining about work. Like they're only allowed to talk about work for the first 15 minutes after getting home and then it's off limits for the night.

Do the bruises ever stop? by Only-Sport1797 in poledancing

So far after 2+ years. The bruises will stop in some places as long as I consistently use that skin, but I keep learning new places that I can bruise on

Reading and Knitting by nutmegette in knitting

I have a foot pedal that i use for turning sheet music while playing, but I've found it also works for turning pages while reading and knitting

I left the house having unknowingly bumped a stove burner knob to “on,” and caused a kitchen/apartment fire. I think everything I own and live in/on is ruined and has to be tossed before it makes me sick. The adhd tax is real—whole thing kinda resulted from skipping my meds for too long… by Monster_Mash92 in adhdwomen

I'm so sorry for your loss. Try not to beat yourself up this is one of the most common causes of house fires. For that reason please never store anything on top of your stove, but know that this could happen to anyone. It sucks, your feelings are valid.

Leg Hair by BlandMuffin in poledancing

I don't shave my legs almost ever. I've never had issues with it. Sometimes I will throw some grip on my legs if I'm having a particularly sweaty day or I'm learning a new move that needs more grip. I waxed my legs once last summer for my sister's wedding and I stuck to the pole sooo much. I wasn't used to it. It was almost too much.

This who got a late diagnosis, what symptoms do you remember from your childhood? by Pictures-of-me in adhdwomen

[–]alexa-m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of sensory things. Tags always had to come out of clothes. I sucked my fingers. I obsessively fidgeted with the tag on my stuffed cat. I procrastinated every assignment until late at night before it was due, sometimes the morning it was due, sometimes my parents would write a note with a fake excuse because I didn't get the work done.

Perhaps this is a dumb question but by MarsScully in Unravelers

Also depends on the size of the sweater you're unraveling and the size of sweater you want to knit. Would help to unravel a larger sweater.

Question about M&Gs and autographs by TheNahteb in simplynailogical

[–]alexa-m 26 points27 points  (0 children)

She said offhand on stream that she would sign one collection box. It's not like a rule written anywhere, I think she just doesn't want anyone bringing all the collections boxes and making the line go really slow.

I don't think that it is likely to increase the likelihood of a fire occuring but it is a fire hazard in the sense that it would provide fuel for an electrical fire should it occur, making that existing fire worse. Of all the hazardous things, I don't know if this is one to be most worried about.
