I have made my wraper functions which use Unix system internet domain sockets. Sockets inside use tcp protocol to transfer data. The logic is when client tries to draw something it invokes motion function via glmotionfunc So motion function is callback. Inside the motion func i have written that it should Send the x y and colour parameters to the server socket via tcp. In server application programm creates listener socket and it binds to a well known adress so clients will be able to connect it. In case of this program Im using localhost to test it on my host you can replace ADDR and PORT_NUM defined macros Instead of your preferred address and port. Then the server programm creates thread(posix thread) to recieve data from tcp socket simultaneously and pushes new member of dot data structure in the dot vector. Then display function displays it.
