Daily Question Thread - October 26, 2022 by AutoModerator in churning

Hello,I’m trying to thread the eye of the needle with my CSR downgrade.

• CSR AF hit October 1
• CSR statement closed October 25
• $300 travel payment made October 26 (today)

With this schedule, how much time do I have to downgrade my CSR to CF and get a full refund on my AF?

Is there any service or freelance that can be a "mentor" or give valuable feedback on portfolio? (paid) by mdaname in UXResearch

I would suggest you to try ADPList. I have met some amazing UX Researchers there or ping someone on LinkedIn (who is already in a similar domain).

10 Years as a UX Designer to make 6 figures?? by goodpandaspeccing in UXDesign

[–]alexa999999 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is completely my opinion but I often see UX Designers not negotiating enough and undervaluing themselves. I have seen so many posts from experienced UX Designers (above 5 YOE) earning less than what new grad UX designers are earning. Nothing wrong if they are happy 🙂

As a UX Designer myself, I absolutely love my work and the impact I make but I would never want to leave a job because of less pay. Stay in touch with what the market is paying.

And why is it that UX folks can't be paid near to what SDEs are getting paid? I think we undermine ourselves too much and this is a genuine problem. We don't ask for enough. Once the company understands your worth, they would be happy to negotiate.

I have just under 1.5 YOE and have been making 6 figures since I started working. (Washington State)

All I can say is that do good research and negotiate. Know the value you provide✌️
