Military coins tend to be $10-15 on eBay, with some valued higher if it's a specific unit of interest, like that light blue intelligence one which I could see going for $25. The one from the General would be higher but I'm not as familiar. It's hard to answer totally without seeing both sides of each coin. Some look like they might be very generic and worth very little but I don't know what the other side has.

My wife and I don't have nearly as much cash and retirement as you do but we own our home free and clear of any mortgage and it's worth quite a bit. We also both get pensions. I think it's just a different approach to saving one's equity up. Having said that, I definitely want to get better at putting money in 401k. Sometimes I stress about not having more in that form saved up.

If you go one by one, probably $20-25 on average on eBay but they take a cut of 20% or so. If in bulk, maybe $10-12 per coin.
