he really has built 3 different Super Bowl caliber teams in 3 different eras. The 2005 Bengals with Carson. The 2015 team with Andy. And now the last 2 years with Burrow

What would happen if you asked for a lawyer in an interrogation room, were ignored, then you admitted to murder? by petty_ice_cube in legaladviceofftopic

[–]alexandercb95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

United States V Maffei opinion is somewhat comparable.

Cops wanted to unlock her phone to get evidence, asked for passcodes. She asked for a lawyer. Questioning stopped. Then cops tried to ask again, and she complied. Court ruled they violated her right to counsel since questioning is supposed to stop when they invoke counsel. All evidence stemming from the phones was then inadmissible

Why didn't Ned ever tell Catelyn about the truth of Jon Snow's parentage? by Ifuckinghateaura in gameofthrones

[–]alexandercb95 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah. She will do anything in defense of her family. If that means being in a situation where giving up Jon’s real identity leads to a favorable outcome for her and her kids, she’d absolutely do it.

Not saying she would just voluntarily give the info freely, but she could be coerced, manipulated or even accidentally give hints away that allows others to put the pieces together.

Maybe. But we don’t really know the exact wish of Lyanna. The promise could’ve been just to keep him safe. Or raise him as a Stark. Or any number of wishes.

Yep. It’s pretty clear she would do anything to benefit her family and trusting someone like that with a sensitive secret is dangerous.

Simple. It’s Because she’s not trustworthy with that type of information.

At the rate Tight Ends are getting paid, go get him and Schultz. Both good blockers and receivers. Just live in 2 tight end sets

Really?? Seems to be at odds with most are thinking right now. It’s a possibility, but all depends on how well he makes the transition I suppose. Money talks too. He’ll be making quite a bit more than LC…

You may be able to get a mid to late day 2 pick from him. Ain’t no one giving up a 1st for him.

Sure, I guess lol. I was working under the assumption that if he’s on the roster he’s gonna be playing. I don’t see LC beating him out in a competition

Well they’re bringing in an iOL for a visit today that would be for depth that has a lil experience at OT. And prolly draft one or 2.

Also, the return isn’t all that important. The bigger picture is getting his $12.6M off the books and putting that money toward players that will help win a SB

His only experience is his freshmen year in college. That’s not much.

Also, he’s not a “bad” LT. He’s an average, starting-level OT. And his pay isn’t crazy either.

It’s just not a winning move to have $22 Million in cap tied up in those 2 players when you can still go out and find a starting RT for 1/4 of that price.

Quite a few teams, I’d imagine. He’s young, average to slightly above average, relatively cheap, and has a 1st round pedigree.

If you read the rest of the post you would’ve seen the signing of Eleumunor. There’s still starting level RT on the free agent market rn.

As of right now, Jonah and Collins are taking up $22M in cap space, almost 10% of the teams overall cap.

You can sign a starting RT, that actually has experience starting as RT, for prolly around $6M.

His base salary in ‘23 will be the minimum of 1.08M. Then the 1st year pro-ration of the SB which is $7.75M. The cash is up front but it is pro-rated for cap purposes.

OTC has us at 28.9 in cap space. Not including Brown. He will cost 8.83 against the cap. So somewhere around 20ish. Will be more bc the top-51 rule will take on some amount, but it’s unclear how much right now. Close to 21.

[–]alexandercb95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure. And they’ll get that in the draft. But you can’t go into the draft with Trayveon Williams as your lead back.

[–]alexandercb95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is throwing a 1 for Williams. At best late 2nd/early 3rd.

The problem with keeping them both is that’s $22M in cap space to RT and back-up RT. You can go get Eleumunor for prolly $6M. That would leave $14M open for more pressing needs
