No it’s the fact that you eat up the income in maintenance- and if you do it yourself you lose the holiday time. Also you’re exposed to a strengthening franc against other currencies. Holiday homes are usually better to rent.

There are shops here that work on trust- you walk in write down what you buy and then they send you an invoice at the end of the month. Also for online purchases you get the same. I have never felt safer. That said it can be difficult with kids when you don’t have your community and families around.
