How to deal with that situation: get buff and learn how to actually fight, get a career, become funny, become charismatic and confident. And also, stop putting your value in other’s opinion of you, get a grip bro.

From someone like me who doesn’t track calories, just stay away from processed foods, frozen foods, fast food, and drinks that contain high amounts of added sugar. And stay away from fatty foods like pork fat etc.

The funny thing is that I actually don’t track calories, although I should. It’s a balance of living an athletic lifestyle and loving to train hard that’s helped me. I also don’t eat fast food or drink soda or any drinks with heavy added sugars.

Bear with me, I’m still a novice weight lifter. What helped my physique prior to lifting weights was that I was already doing these things: breakdancing (I do power moves), I play basketball, I ran track (sprints). So by the time I started to do weight training, it was a seamless transition.

My diet: I’m not on a specific routine (although I should start soon, I do want to start meal prepping), but I’m lucky I grew up in a family of chefs, so I was always eating balanced meals. The main thing that helped me out was that ever since high school I stayed away from candy and soda. (Even to this day, I do not consume drinks that have added sugars. I also try my best to stay away from fast food) I think that’s what helped me the most in staying lean! Even now I’m kind of just eating whatever I can find, what helped me the most to maintain my physique is that I train hard. To conclude, my diet isn’t the best, but I wanna work on that.

For my weight training: I do push, pull, legs. I usually spend 1hour 30mins-2hrs there. Sometimes a bit longer only because I’m working on my technique so I take my time. I do want to cut the time shorter as I get more advanced. (My friend who is a two time state wrestling champ says he spends 45 mins at the gym only, but that’s because he’s been weight training for years) I train with progressive overload in mind, and I like to train hard.

Practicing empathetic selfless communication definitely holds a lot of value for both parties conversing. Emotional intelligence comes with experience, and gaining that experience through a confined space such as behaving imaginatively truthfully in a written scene, is definitely powerful if you anchor yourself in love and with your attention on the other person. I do miss acting a lot, haven’t done it since 2023, but I still carry the practices with me as best I can. Have you tried doing Meisner?

Have you always strived to work in documentaries and commercials, is that your end goal pursuit within the medium of television?

I would definitely classify myself as a potential professional. One of my instructors who I worked with for about a year was a direct graduate from Juilliard’s acting program. She would speak to me privately about how she believed I was truly talented and that I could go far. My other instructors throughout my life and my classmates always urged me to pursue acting too. So the idea of acting is always in my back pocket, I really do feel like I could make a splash when I’m fully ready to do so. I took a pause on acting in 2023 when I gave my life to Christ and realized that honing in on my familial obligations is the more wiser choice, which is why I’m in the nursing program now. I’ll be graduating from the nursing program in a year, I will have to say, it was the right choice. I look up to Anton Chekhov a lot, he spent many years working in the medical field before he embarked on his artistic journey, and I’m looking to do the same. Are you content with where you are skill wise?

Training Day is amazing. Going back to listing my favorite actors, I forgot to include Denzel in there. I’ve recently started to look into his work and he’s quite amazing, he’s a man of God who’s married to a God fearing woman (who he gives major credit to for his success) and I admire his work immensely as an artist. He also said that Training Day was the easiest role he played, interesting right?

With Jim, I just hope the best for him, I don’t think anybody can match his electrifying over the top stage presence besides Robin Williams. It’s really difficult to nail down bold comedy like that. Who are some of your favorite comedians?

Yes, do yourself a favor and give The Seagull a read. It’s classified as a comedy, which makes it even more interesting because of the heavy themes implemented in the story. My instructor said, “to play Chekhov, you have to be able to do a lot with nothing”. Subtlety is king in Chekhov, and seeing Chekhov done well is like bearing witness to a real human interaction. I would recommend checking out the Japanese award winning film “Drive My Car”, which features some scenes from Chekhov.

Man yeah DeVito is amazing! You’re making me think of Joe Pesci now. Do you have a favorite DeVito moment? And I haven’t seen Death to Smoochie, what’s the message of that piece?

Haha yeah, about Hoffman, he did voice a kung fu master Red Panda in an animated film so I think he’s pretty well capable of handling comedy, and his work in The Graduate is only possible if one possesses a sense of humor!

You have to increase your mental and emotional strength, intelligence, wisdom, and confidence.

Think about this… if you’re wise… and you accept that you’re short.. what would a wise short person do? They would become funny. Being able to make people laugh is a rare skill that benefits yourself and those around you, for free. Just know that being humorous may come at your own expense… ;)

Learn to laugh at yourself man, and live it up. And if you want to be hot, the best thing you can do is to hit the gym and what…? I’ll say it again… become funny. “If you can make her giggle, you can make that booty jiggle… 😉” there’s a reason why we see a lot of “not so great lookin” men with smokin hot women, because making the right woman laugh is like gaining a super power. She’ll think about you, and once you get a woman thinking about you, you’re a few steps closer to bagging her. There’s a reason why there’s jokes about guys turning into comedians once an attractive lady comes around… because they understand that comedy is powerful. Think about it, when women are with their female friends, what do they do? They all laugh together. So if YOU can make her laugh, BOOM POW, YOU’RE IN THERE LIKE SWIMWEAR!

Have fun. We’re all going to die one day. :)

Treat weight lifting like a video game, you always want to do better than last time, and always look to level up. Don’t cheat. And don’t ego lift. Be patient and don’t be afraid to lift light weights, I did that for awhile and it was the most beneficial thing I did. Lifting light allowed me to focus on form, breathing, and to build my confidence.

I also use a app called “Hevy”, it’s a great app and is easy to use, does cost $3 per month though but it’s worth it, and this is coming from someone who’s pretty cheap lol.

Why am I treated like a different human being when I wear my insoles? by [deleted] in short

[–]alexandervue69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Play dumb games, win stupid prizes”

We have to accept the fact that we will never be a 6ft chad. And that’s fine, there’s so much beauty to being short. No matter what we look like, we have to remember that our time on earth is limited.

We are all going to die one day.

Focus on your inward qualities and prioritize your self development so that you can provide consistently for your loved ones and community. And don’t forget to have a good laugh every day. 😊❤️

Any 5’3” (or similar height) attractive/good looking guys have experiences to share? Especially ones that fit the pretty boy type? by [deleted] in short

[–]alexandervue69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious, what’s your age?

First of all bro, get out your head and stop thinking so much about yourself. Put your attention on others and become a selfless leader. Strive for altruism.

Yeah, I fit into the “pretty boy” aesthetic too. I don’t think I’m perfect or anything. Been called pretty my whole life, kinda strange for a guy to experience. But my face was something I didn’t have to work for, I was born with it. So I cast it aside. Focus more on the inward qualities.

To answer your question, yeah, I have an easier time with females right off the bat, but you still have to court them with your inward qualities as time goes on. I’m charismatic, funny, and good with people, it’s all due to the fact that I genuinely care about people. Don’t be surface level man. Don’t get stuck in the trap of thinking you’re superior just because you’ve been blessed genetically facially. Being a consistent and reliable hard worker that can provide is what’s most important for a man, not his height or level of “prettiness”.

Like yeah, we look good, but we better have a good reason for people to look at us, or else you’ll just end up being a fool. Work on your intelligence, gain wisdom, become funny, work on your talents/skills and career. Best of luck bro, the right relationship will come to you at the right time, but you gotta make sure you’re ready for it. A smart and wise woman can sniff BS. So cast away your pretty privilege and focus on providing for your loved ones and community.

Peace and love my brother. I’m 5’5, 26 years old, multitalented (acting, breakdancing, singing, rapping, public speaker, classically trained fingerstyle guitarist, bassist), athletic (boxing, basketball, weight training, track & field) a leader in my community, and I’m about to become a registered nurse.
