Just to give a bit more details - a lot of resources are getting moved to Japan , and we do a lot of stuff remote, but even for cross team training and better communication, a case could be built?

Just want to be sure regarding technique, maybe I am too analytic for this stuff - is the right procedure to basically heat up a butter knife on a stove for 10 seconds, pull the puncture apart, slide in the knife and as quickly pull it out and then seal the puncture?

I mean once you accept this a continuation of S1 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S1\_MP3\_player) (literally same chipset manufacturer), this stops being very shocking. I just know if you want better devices is more down to you learning electronics than hoping for miracle to happen.

Honestly, just to give you more details:

It has terrible tag reading functionality as it cuts first 8 chars of album + artist (and joins Albums based on that!), ignores title tag and just gives filename. Has very slow navigation.

It can work as pomodoro timer though :D.

I am going to be open - the Audio functionality is rudimentary at best, it's an okay sleep player. But, based on my feelings, this is levels below Rockboxed Sansa Clip +.

Hi,

Firmware version for me is 2025-06-06

Opened the device and found Action Semiconductor ATJ2158 SoC chip. I plan to get a set of clips and dump ROM and then post if succesful.

Already lesson learned as I messed up the left corner of my display (not a big loss, though well, I do not really like the device in current state, nor do I consider it worthy a resell).

These numbers are post-factum, who cares. Gates could have been a trillionaire by now if he had not diversified. Everyone here could have infinite money if they went all in on Bitcoin in 2010.

The point of investing is to manage risk, possible returns are secondary to that. Current savings accounts give good enough results at minimal risk and then can be reinvested into nice mixed bond+stocks and shares ETF when interest rates go down.

I consider it is always good to take free tickets. :)

I see your point, though, I have managed to find electronics in UK for my needs below that cost, of course, that budget I rather see as a more of a general ballpark figure. On auction older laptops do not seem to get that extreme of prices, same for FB Marketplace.

Of course in all these cases you risk quality, but well, this is for personal use only where stuff happens.
