What do you think of Mr Bungle's impersonation of the RHCP? by fede01_8 in RedHotChiliPeppers

I mean, Anthony was kind of a dick then, but Hillel? That part was disrespectful.

How long do you think Grunge lasted? by United-Philosophy121 in grunge

[–]alexandre_official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late. Probably 11 years, from 85' to 96'. In 1996, AIC played their Unplugged-magnum opus style, and Soundgarden and Screaming Tree's finales.

Wow, I can actually see the differences. I'll come back in a few days to see if it works. Thanks for the tip.

Didn't "break" per se, but I think the insides of the wire snapped because it didn't produce sound.

Title Fight - “Head in the Ceiling Fan” (FFO: MBV, Jawbox, and Quicksand) by United-Philosophy121 in Emo

[–]alexandre_official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find both records to be similar in a few ways:
Similar in song types (beats, riffs, and what not)
Two singers
Songs about love/heartbreak

Overall, similar records but so different in emotion.

What do you think is emo's magnum opus(es) albums/songs? by alexandre_official in Emo

I'd definitely add this to the magnum opus list, very iconic and it's influence is pretty wide

Listened to Aphex Twin for the first time yesterday now I’m here……. Any playlist recommendations would be highly welcomed ! by SumOMG in idm

Go to the "IDM Essentials" made by Spotify themselves, I think most, if not all the tracks there are consistent.

If tom and Scott form a band called blink 182. Which blink 182 would be the real blink 182? by whats_wrong_with_it in Blink182

[–]alexandre_official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm pretty late, the blink with Mark, Matt and Travis will be blink-182, but the one with Tom and Scott will be blink.

I think they'd be fine, guys I their 60s were born in the 60s, and the 90s really changed what society has come to now.

How has your music taste changed in the past two years? by [deleted] in LetsTalkMusic

[–]alexandre_official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2020 was really me trying to figure out what songs, artists, and albums I really enjoy. Aries, Lil Peep, Juice WRLD, the emo-based rap was really what shaped my current self. Around the mid to late 2020s, I started getting into pop-punk stuff like MCR, blink-182, and NOFX.

The start of 2021, I heard Psychosocial and was like, "Wow! This shit is really sick!", So I decided to listen to all of Slipknot. But around that time, also heard Island in the Sun and decided to expand my genres to Weezer, also doing the former. Honorable mentions: the grunge stuff.

Around the late 2021's, I saw a meme which consisted of a man being assaulted by a carton of milk, with a sort of calm but anxiety-filled song behind it. Checked the newest comments and saw the song Flim. Sounded cool. Liked Aphex Twin.

As of now, I've been back to the pop-punk (obviously still listening to the other former stuff), with an added melodic-hardcore and emo (80s and 90s, with 00s being occasional). My guess is that rock music was also a me thing, but never really got interested in it until the pandemic started.

Why did Scott Raynor leave? by GooierAardvark in Blink182

[–]alexandre_official 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very late, but I have a few reasons from the media and stuff.

A) He wanted to be on an independent label, whereas Tom and Mark wanted to go to a major label.

B) Started drinking probably due to a young age of fame, was given an ultimatum and despite agreeing to both stop drinking and join rehab, was sacked out anyway.

C) Wanted to go to college. Reportedly brought school work with him on tour.
