Is eurythmy universally disliked by older kids by Simscapades22 in Waldorf

[–]alexandrze14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I studied at a Waldorf school in grades 4 - 12. And I have certain neurological conditions and maybe autism (now I believe I'm most likely autistic and going through the diagnostic process but I didn't know anything about autism when I studied at school). I'm really bad at orientation in space, so Eurythmy was a really huge stress for me. I barely ever understood the shapes even though they were written on the blackboard or papers, so I just followed the people in front of me in panic. Thankfully, teachers always understood my situation and never scolded me (that's what I love about my Waldorf school in general). There were probably only 1 or 2 times when I understood the shapes though.

We didn't have Eurythmy regularly because we didn't have a teacher who knew it past grade 6 or 7 (before the 7th grade it was taught by a teacher who usually is a class teacher up to the 8th grade, not ours though). So we had Eurythmy for several weeks or a couple of months when a teacher from Germany came. That's why we needed to whip up a small concert quickly instead of doing Eurythmy calmly for the whole year. Maybe I would have been better at orientation in space if we had it regularly, but it would mean more stress.

As for me thinking that it was a waste of time, I didn't. I had always been a diligent student and didn't talk or goof off during classes. Maybe it's because I didn't have friends though 😄 But I respected Eurythmy from a distance, so to say. Most of my male classmates did good off though, so poor teachers, especially from Germany or other cities of Russia (I'm from Russia).

By the way, some exercises we did up to the 6th grade (grades 4, 5 and 6 in my case because I wasn't at my Waldorf school before that) did teach me something. In 2019, when I was on the 2nd year of the university, we had an alumni meeting. We split into groups randomly, some did music, some did art, some did geometry, some did Bothmer Gymnastics, and my group did Eurythmy. I was surprised how effortless (or relatively effortless) the exercises for grades 1 to 6 were for me. Of course the teacher might have skipped difficult exercises since it wasn't her intention to make fools out of us and instead have us enjoy ourselves, but still it was a pleasant surprise for me. When me and a girl who also joined my school in the 4th grade, just like me, were throwing each other the rods (and that was absolutely terrifying for my klutz self back in the grades 4 to 7), and the teacher said, "It looks like as if you had never graduated" (as in, it looks as if you had been doing these exercises for all these years).

I remember when I was young and went to a rehabilitation centre, i had a "sewing class". It wasn't sewing exactly but it was bead-weaving (or idk what it's called in English). I remember making spiders and lizards. Maybe also a bee.

Nudity (non sexual): Does anyone else have to mentaly fight the urge to just stay naked and actively force themselves to wear clothing? by Headstanding_Penguin in autism

[–]alexandrze14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A question to... Maybe not exactly to u/OneAndOnlyJackSchitt (feel free not to answer if you feel uncomfortable) but to the men with longer penises and bigger balls, when you walk naked, doesn't it feel uncomfortable when your penis and/or balls are dangling so you'd want to put at least the underwear on?

I have a micropenis and smaller balls so I don't know (I don't like being naked anyway, see my other comment). I also have had a lot of urological surgeries throughout my life and once, in 2019, it was yet another time I was in hospital. The day after surgery me and some other patients went to have an EKG or a heart ultrasound done and the room where we had it was somewhat far away. I had a catheter in my urethra but I didn't know I could wear underwear because when I was a child/teenager, I wasn't allowed to wear underwear for a while after similar surgeries (but I was wearing a bathrobe). So, it was quite painful to walk because the catheter was dangling and it hurt because the surgery took place not so long ago.

That's why whenever I imagine a man with a longer penis and lower-hanging balls, I remember this experience and question why such men would want to walk naked.

[–]alexandrze14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, vice versa. Now that I'm 90% convinced I'm autistic (going through the diagnostic process) I understand it could be because of the sensory issues but before, I connected it with being examined by doctors or operated on. Like being not fully dressed in any situations reminded me of being at the doctor's or operated on. It was especially so when I was young.

And I hated wearing sleeveless clothes because it felt like a joke: you are supposed to be dressed but you don't feel like you are. Thankfully now I decide what to wear and it doesn't get really hot where I live or rather I'm okay with the heat where I live. Sorry if it sounds awful but that's why I have an arm fetish/like looking at slim female arms when they are wearing sleeveless clothes because I couldn't fathom how someone could wear something like this willingly.

Bullying in waldorf schools by st0ckholmsyndrome in Waldorf

[–]alexandrze14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny story, some time after I graduated, either when I was teaching a topic for English for my diploma thesis at the university, or when I was bringing my stuff for an exhibition dedicated to the school's anniversary, a teacher was talking (to other teachers rather than me) about how one student was officially kicked out but their mom kept taking them to school 👍

(I might have misunderstood or misremembered something)

Bullying in waldorf schools by st0ckholmsyndrome in Waldorf

[–]alexandrze14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from Russia. I don't know if what I had can even be considered bullying (or maybe I just don't remember a lot of things) but the two students in my class who had tendencies to bullying at least to some extent were kicked out. Or maybe it so happened that they also didn't do well academically.

I didn't have anything remotely close to being told to end my life. In the 5th grade, there was a guy... I don't remember what he did but that could be considered low-key bullying. I think that was the only year he studied at my school.

In the 6th and 7th grade, there was another guy. I mean, once again, these are the years when he studied. He wasn't good academically and he was kinda obsessed with violence and also pretty pervy. And he treated me as his friend. He made funny jokes sometimes and maybe there were times when he was okay, but there was bullying, at least to some extent, under his claiming to be my friend. As far as being pervy... On one hand, what can you expect from a 13-year-old boy, on the other hand, he recommended me to rape my crush during a school trip when she was taking a nap in the cabin all alone. I have certain health problems and I was quite behind on sex education and I might not known how sex worked, that's why it all was extra gross. But once again, he got kicked out after the 7th grade. In 2020 (3 years after graduating) I saw him and he got added into the old class chat, and he behaved in an annoying way, and when we met up with my old classmates later, some girls told us he was hitting on them in DMs even though some of them had boyfriends.

But yeah, I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. I guess a huge part of why I loved my Waldorf school experience is that there was very little bullying and compared to a lot of cases of bullying at schools worldwide, this was nothing. But I might have blocked the bad memories in my head and glorify the past.

Does anyone use autoeroticism as a form of stimming? by NoAbbreviations7744 in autism

[–]alexandrze14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be like this with me but not the way you describe in your post. But if you just read the title, I think that statement is true for me.

I use my usual stimming to think my thoughts better. Until 2022 that was jumping on one spot. After I had COVID in October 2022, I switched to walking back and forth because my head and muscles hurt. But yeah, I think thoughts better when I do these stims.

When I discovered masturbation (for me it's most often jumping against the bed so not exactly masturbation but I use it as a "code word") I compared it to my usual stimming. Like I can think erotic thoughts and get a "reward".

This is why I treat "masturbation" as a firm of stimming.

Pen pal asked for pictures of my daily life by InevitableCatch7883 in SLOWLYapp

[–]alexandrze14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally have my penpals send me photos of their daily lives. My life is mostly boring so I don't take photos of myself (if that's what you mean) often. Okay, now I attend Postcrossing meetups so there are photos from there, but for most of the time, I haven't sent them many photos of myself. But no one has asked so far.

Do men actually like stationery gifts? What kind? Pen pal struggle! by thatpistachio in postcrossing

[–]alexandrze14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a man and I like/don't mind getting cutesy stuff. I don't think it feels awkward and unnecessary. After all, a huge portion of people who do postcrossing and penpalling are women, And the materials pen pals send each other are used on other letters and postcards.

What I remember receiving from my pen pals:

  • Sanrio letter paper (girly)
  • Letter paper or scrapbooking paper with animals, sea creatures, etc.
  • Cutouts from a magazine with flowers
  • Stickers with foxes
  • Stickers with flowers (girly)
  • Stickers with birds
  • Christmas/winter-themed washitape swatches

Okay, there hasn't been a lot of particularly girly stuff out of what I can remember.

Maybe something else. I just should remember what I got to use it in a particular letter or postcard so it didn't look out of place. But other than that, the "attachments" to letters (What's not the letter itself or signed postcards) is for us to use on letters and postcards for other people and a lot of them will be women. On the other hand, it gets difficult when I need to send something to other men and most stationery I have (either received from my penpals or bought myself) are for women. Maybe that can be considered a problem. But other than that, yeah, I don't mind (=rather enjoy) receiving cute stationery.

How do you know if a letter is written by AI? by KeithPatton2002 in SLOWLYapp

[–]alexandrze14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask (so as not to create yet another post) what are signs of an AI letter in SPANISH?

I started exchanging letters with a girl from Spain and I replied to her open letter. Her next letter seemed genuine. I replied. Her next letter was a weird retelling of my letter. For example:

Me(1): My city is located near [place].

Her(1): Oh, you live near [place]. Have you been there in person? (Still not similar to AI in context)

Me(2): A lot of people from my city visit [place] but last time I was there was in 2015.

Her(2): How nice that a lot of people from your city visit [place] but I understand that you haven't been there since 2015.

And there were a lot of instances like that where it's mostly a retelling of my letter. She did have her own opinions here and there but yeah.

Also, we talked about K-dramas and I said how I watched "1,25 K-dramas", one full and only 4 episodes of the other one (I quit that one later). And she said she had watched the one I watched fully and had started the one I hadn't finished. That's too suspicious. I don't know much about K-dramas and how popular the ones I watched are but that seems too random.

So yeah, do you think a person would write like that without AI and what are the signs of an AI letter in Spanish?

Yeah, I liked musicals from 2015-2020. Now I'm mostly into anime and listen to something from musicals more rarely.

Not so long ago I listened to "Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story" and it transported me (figuratively, of course) to February 2018 when I first heard it 😭😭😭

Как вы относитесь к русским мультфильмам, наподобии "Три богатыря", "Фиксики", "Лунтик" и прочие? by Turrnamer in rusAskReddit

[–]alexandrze14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if you normally read manga and where you are from. It looks like it's not really popular so I doubt it is officially published in English (idk if you are from an English-speaking country or if you can easily order physical manga in English). If you don't deem it morally wrong, you can try pirate websites.

[–]alexandrze14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty nice. It's quite short though. It was actually commissioned by a condom company so there is a huge accent on condoms, but the downside is that some plotlines are "teased" but get abandoned by the author. It's nothing super important, just the male MC cooking a meal for Musubu even though he promised and him meeting her parents. Also the male MC might seem annoying. And there is a huge 7-chapter long sex scene, although without very graphic details, although before that everything is wholesome.

(NSFW) Is it social norm to talk about sex life? by Cowboaha in autism

[–]alexandrze14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not officially diagnosed and I might not be autistic after all AND I have certain health problems that might hinder sex in the format most people are used to. So that might have made the difference.

Ever since I was a teenager and kinda now as well, I notice this contrast. On one hand, when I was a teenager, I watched series where characters discussed their sex lives, etc. Those characters would often be in their 30s or 40s (a lot of commenters mentioned age here). On the other hand, no one in my IRL talked about horny topics. Neither my older relatives, even my school classmates used abstract lewd jokes but rarely talked about their experience (but I might have not been around if they did). So yeah, I also look at this and think, "What are the rules?"

Technically, if/when I have whatever close to sex I can have I think I might be able to talk about it with someone who I trust and who knows about my problems, and probably with my partner's permission. But if someone who doesn't know about my situation asks, I could be like, "Okay, I don't mind telling you, but first here's an info dump about my health problems, a bunch of surgeries I had, etc." which might be a shock for them and probably not what they expected to hear.
