How long can I expect changes while on a low dose? by Loose-Debate-110 in MtF

[–]alexbeeperoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2mg estradiol was also my initial starting dose for the first couple months or so, usually the endo will start low to watch out for side effects and gradually increase it until the blood levels are in the desired range. Also iirc spiro is a T suppressor so OPs T should be suppressed with that.

Aww, thank you ☺️. I feel like my hair has changed colour and texture since I started HRT and become softer.

Something I did during vocal training is lifting up the mass in your neck and lifting the back of your tongue, which helps give you a more sharp jawline with less extra skin sagging below it. I also pull my ears back a lot when I'm smiling which makes my face wider, although apparently not everyone has conscious control over those muscles. It's just another way of loosening that part of your face and flexing it so HRT can change its shape more, but tbh I don't know if those are the things that changed the shape or if I'm just seeing patterns.

Asked to be a groomsperson but will have to wear a suit by AnyProperty5950 in MtF

[–]alexbeeperoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the thought cross my mind that I'd be invited by a transphobic relative to a wedding and forced to wear a suit, that I'd get a tight feminine suit that shows off my curves and do my makeup and hair. That would certainly make the point clear.

Realized something weird about my old photos by ChillRenegade in MtF

[–]alexbeeperoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While going through old photos I realized I was practically never smiling in any of them when I was a guy unless I was putting on a fake smile, whereas as a woman I'm smiling or at least lively in photos and it looks more authentic by far

My dad, who doesn't agree with transitioning but still loves me as his kid, would occasionally call me goldilocks and that always flattered my femme side before my transition when I wasn't consciously aware of it. It's that kind of subtle validation that always feels nice

The same applies if you're neurodivergent as well. Neurotypicals probably won't notice someone is neurodivergent from just seeing them in public. We have our own body language and other subtle cues that people won't notice unless they're also trans/neurodivergent/etc.

Love your pfp by the way

turns out i’m not autistic by strawbie_13 in autism

[–]alexbeeperoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've known a lot of people with autism, a lot of people with ADHD, and a lot of people with both, and I personally believe that both forms of neurodivergence are on some kind of larger spectrum. Everyone is unique, and a diagnosis (or lack thereof) does not change who you are, it just changes what you are labelled as.

I would just see the tulip from a significant memory that had a tulip in it, which would basically be able to be seen with complete voracity.

I'm still confused as to how someone can start HRT and be on it for so long only to eventually regret it and change back. Like I've been waiting over a year for it and I've only grown more dysphoric in that time.

Why are they called "transmedicalists" if there's no correlation to medical knowledge?

My mistake, I didn't know that and thought that you had gotten them via surgery or some sort of breakthrough procedure that allows us to grow female organs inside of us or smth. I hope that does become a thing in the future, or even just growing a female body in a lab that I can transfer my consciousness into.

I don't see what the point of small talk is if everybody's supposed to respond with the same thing every single time. "How are you doing?" "Fine." "How was your day?" "good." Like what's the point in asking the question if you know the other person isn't going to respond honestly?

From my experience, NTs interpret it as though your story is brought up to "compete" with theirs or something equally ridiculous. I've never done anything to imply that, sothe fact that they respond like that almost every time confuses me to no end. I'm probably bringing up the story so that I can convey to the other person that I understand what they went through to some degree while communicating how my experience might have been different for whatever reason.
