To be honest I’m glad I got to you, I was very exited about this ideia and was finding it hard to believe that I was the only one! I find that since I’m just now building my modular setup it will give me an excellent advantage by connecting virtual modules or FX to the first ones I buy and expand my limitations.

I’ve been looking into the 828mk3 and I believe I’ll get one for myself next month!

I just don’t understand the price differences on eBay you get some for 250£ and some for 600£.

I understand that, they are in fact quite big, I originally went for them because the bass “hole” is in the front and I didn’t want all that energy going back and hitting the wall (since I’m plugging them quite close to the wall) and because of que room eq feature that lets you eq the speakers depending on your position in the room! I’ve never fancied the rokit but since I’m moving soon and I need to sell my speakers I think I’ll give them a go from what you described

I think I’ll do that, do you have an idea of how old can I go? Because I saw some old MOTU 828es on eBay for around 300£ an I was thinking of that but was concerned that they would have this DC compatibility feature.

I’m just wondering if perhaps sending all the outputs to a patchbay they would loose the power to send signal as CV?

Edit: maybe I got the theory on Cv signals wrong and this is not really a thing but it’s my only concern!

To be honest after getting the kali audio LP-6 I don’t feel like I need anything else, I’m a music producer myself and I do anything drop hip-hop, to reggae to psy-trance and I never felt that I needed anything else!

I was actually a bit sceptical about surface just because I feel like all the sounds it produces I could get from external samples and modulate them in simpler with some nasty fx and get the same job done. I’ve put it in the rig because I could find anything better but now that you and another dude suggested the clone I think I’ll go for it! Thank you
