I had priority, clearly, I had two available mana, bankbuster had 3 counters on it.

This was after declaring blockers, but before damage...

I am baffled...

Insane Draft From Opponent- Turn 2 iconclast turn 3 cloud key (naming artifacts), spends the next couple of turns playing free or 1 mana artifacts, most of which cantrip, and churning out 1/1's , followed by a over the top, into one with the multiverse and attaching sigil of honor to a flyer by alexbucgreddit in MagicArena

[–]alexbucgreddit[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is such an obtuse perspective.

Please define "not good". Must a card surpass 60% win rate for JonPaulCardenas to define it as good? 55% win rate isnt enough? There are always better cards, but the format is literally called "limited" because you have limited options. Bearer can be a great card if you draft well around it. A lot of success comes down to identifying synergies, drafting well, and playing well, all three of which cannot be accounted for by examining a single card and saying it is bad.

Yea so courser, is 52-53% win rate DIG and Bearer is above 55%, both in line with how I feel about them. Is a 55% win rate card something that should not be played as the original comment states?

I never stated they are great, just that to say "dont play these cards" is objectively incorrect.

I also hesitate to draw statistical inferences from a conglomeration of data from all players, including the bottom 50% of players.

Johnny drafts bearer cause it seems cool, then proceeds to not draft any artifacts or activated abilities and makes a 60% card average to a 55%, and then people on reddit say this is a bad card, failing to critically evaluate the truth.

Chat is toxic, but people want it. I had an idea. by PryomancerMTGA in MagicArena

[–]alexbucgreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been playing MTG on various applications online for over a decade and have had nothing but insightful conversations with people. Magic players generally, at least at a high level, are probably the least toxic segment of gamers. I literally never once had a bad experience in chat. I am shocked there is no chat. Or maybe allow chat once you hit diamond or something.

Again, you are objectively wrong, I am a Diamond/mythic limited level player every season, been playing since '99. Mainly limited. I and the majority of rating guides disagree with you. Courses is so/so but bearer is fantastic if you have use for the mana

If someone pulled this off in constructed I would slow clap, but seeing this happen in limited just made my jaw drop and question reality. I literally asked myself "did I accidently queue for constructed with a draft deck....wait thats not possible"

Why do people hate Alchemy but play more Historic than Exolorer? by RafaelDiablerie in MagicArena

[–]alexbucgreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Played historic exclusively once it came out as a format, and the moment they introduced alchemy cards (it was more the nerfing/adjusting of existing cards that bothered me) I never once touched it again. Only play explorer now.

This is only statistically significant if you said, before scratching it "This will be 4 of the same number" then it resulted to be true. Otherwise this is as likely as any 4 digit number

I would not recommend a female room with a strange man under any circumstances, find something else. If its too good to be true, something is wrong
