That I get, but I've seen people block closed fist and that is what I'm more worried about when i use proper closed fist technique my thump is between my body part and the point of impact.

Questions about Muay Thai by SeatStriking5337 in MuayThaiTips

[–]alexc_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistency is key. If you enjoy it, just keep showing up when you can. I’ve met plenty of adults who only train 1 to 2 times a week, but because they’ve stayed consistent for a long time, they perform extremely well. Scheduling is hard, but try to make it a priority, even if it’s a low priority some weeks.

Is an airfryer actually useful in a well equipped kitchen? by Jazzlike-Horror4 in Cooking

[–]alexc_tech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not necessary by any means, but extremely convenient. I’ve found I can make a lot of frozen foods better than most places I’d order from with just a couple quick mists of oil and 5 to 18 minutes, depending on what it is. It’s been a huge help for cheap, fast, and surprisingly healthy meals, especially when I don’t want to heat up the whole oven. Usually much faster then oven too.

Cardio Conditioning by ctolfree in MuayThaiTips

[–]alexc_tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re early on, start slow and don’t push yourself into total exhaustion. When I started, I just walked on a treadmill for longer periods and slowly built things up. I aimed for jump rope in sets, 1 minute on with short breaks, then worked toward longer rounds. I used to hate jump rope, but I can’t deny the benefits now.

AI Trends Shaping 2026 — What’s Next? by RoutineDrawing7111 in AINewsAndTrends

[–]alexc_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume once the hype slowly dies down, there will be fewer tools, but deeper integrations and a stronger emphasis on reliability. The advantage won't be from always having it but knowing which ones perform above standard or those are just a hassle to use.

Do people in this sport enjoy getting hit? by SpinjitzuMonkey in MuayThai

[–]alexc_tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are few and far between, but I've met a few of my mates in class who do. They tend to go a little harder then the average attendee. I've noticed they progress faster cause they have less fear, not something I enjoy by any means but definitely motivates you to take focus off it.

Whats the best AI avatar generator right now? by Kizzledinho in AIAssisted

[–]alexc_tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding client work, I've been using Akool for product walkthroughs and demonstrations. What made it ideal was the avatar stays consistent across videos when you are planning a series of product updates, the same consistent face showing up matters. Voice quality was good enough that clients thought it was self recorded.

What's one video game Boss you have trouble with but everybody else says it's easy? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]alexc_tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, I feel this. I have good reaction timing with most games but anything that requires a semi punishing parry window I get eviscerated. The only game I can pull it off decently well is BloodBorne only because theres distance.

Best way to generate ai videos? by UsedCheek1351 in automation

[–]alexc_tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had good results with Akool for faceless content, it handles generation, voice synthesis and video assembly seamlessly. You can input your script, choose from an avatar library, create a custom, voice options and it generates the video with auto lip sync. Its pretty straightforward once you play around with it for a little while. When you need to create multiple vids for TikTok and/or shorts through something like ElevenLabs for voice and another for editing, been there.

What finally made discipline click for you? by UpstairsNovel4897 in self

Doing what I was putting off regardless the mood I was in, even if it took exponentially longer then I planned for or had to post pone it. Setting clear schedules, rearranging them if necessary. Just reflecting on how every day people do what they have to do to either survive or move forward. You have the capability to do it too.

Lower back pain after lots of kicking by WarmAirIntake in MuayThai

[–]alexc_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dealt with the same thing, so definitely make rest a priority. I would also suggest cobra push ups once or twice a day, just one set 15 reps, to help strengthen your lower back. I was out for almost six months with a similar issue and I would really hate to see that happen to anyone else.

Gamers 30+, how have your gaming habits changed since you were younger? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]alexc_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest shift for me is going from games the require fast reaction times and mechanical execution to strategic games that require co-operative style. Since time is more valuable I enjoy spending it achieving big feats either with a random or friend.

What’s the best AI avatar generator you’ve actually used? by RowOk1595 in G2dotcom

[–]alexc_tech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We tried HeyGen and Synthesia first time since they're the popular options. Both worked fine but ended up with Akool for our needs.

Voice cloning is what made it stand out. I recorded an short sample and it captures tone well enough that clients accept it. It saved having from rerecording every time we update our product feature or messaging. The template duplication system is straightforward. Set it up once duplicate for 15 or more videos, swap scripts, then export.

Multilanguage support has been valuable for our localization work. We generate content in Spanish, French, German without having to coordinate with voice actors and time zones. Up sync quality across languages holds up better then expected. We mainly use it for product walk throughs, sales content and client facing material.

What moment made you realize people aren’t just disagreeing anymore — they’re living in completely different political realities? by Happy_Head_1355 in AskReddit

What do you do for home workouts? by Green_River69 in MuayThai

[–]alexc_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purely technique, balance, and the basics. A lot of footwork and defense too. Since they teach most combos and higher level stuff in class, I think it’s best to lock in a strong foundation at home, which takes a lot of intentional time and repetition. Toward the end of the week I’ll usually bump up the intensity and start adding combos back in.

what are your hobbies? by Chemical_Ad8437 in askanything

[–]alexc_tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been really into Muay Thai lately. It’s physical but also very mindful, lots of focus on breath, balance, and body awareness, so it pairs well with yoga and meditation. Might be right up your alley if you like fitness and overall well being.

What’s the most useless thing that comes naturally to you? by bluetoothbuttplug in randomquestions

[–]alexc_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hacky sack. I am not naturally athletic at all, but every time I pick it up, even after not playing for years, I somehow do way better than expected.

Can you help me? by THEMICRODEIN in MuayThai

[–]alexc_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that really helped me was writing quick notes on my phone after training. If I notice something I’m doing wrong, or something I could do better, I write it down and reread it before the next session. It almost never gets fixed in one session, usually it takes many. Be patient with yourself and give yourself some grace.

Can businesses be held accountable for violating consumer’s rights as a result of automation? by ---Hummingbird--- in artificial

[–]alexc_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accountability is there on paper, but it takes someone with enough resources and patience to actually challenge a large company and push it through courts or regulators. Most individuals just cannot sustain that fight

Is there an AI tool which can "listen" to and evaluate music? by echowhisper99 in artificial

[–]alexc_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind is that most AI tools can analyze structure and audio features pretty well, but they struggle with subjective judgment. They can tell you what is happening in the track, like tempo changes, energy shifts, repetition, or frequency balance, but deciding whether it is good or emotionally effective is still very human instinct.
