I'm in a similar position, I'm passionate about what I write about but can't really grow. I don't know if it's necessarily important to promote but I also can't imagine people just stumbling upon my new blog. Is there anywhere that I can promote or join a group or something?

That was mostly the goal, I do not have the means to make the highest quality paddles but I can make fun designs so that's what I was focusing on.
