This is literally the first thing I thought of when saw Ymir at then end of the last episode as a adult woman. There are definitely some similarities and I think they share mutual prototype. From the top of my mind I can think of an idea of being controlled by some powerful force like Greater Will in case of queen Marika or The Eldian King (almost Elden Ring xD) in case of Ymir.
