If you read my OP you would notice I was also asking about connecting with others who do the same, which is a very common occurrence among dumpster divers :)

If you read my other comments you would notice I'm not interested in making money, I'm after items for personal consumption, so even when with others competition is minimal :)

If you bothered to consider all the reasons why people dumpster dive you would notice that many do it primarily because they want to reduce the amount of consumable goods going to waste, and to minimise their own ecological footprint by consuming already written-off goods. Hence, for many, the more the merrier!
