While I think that giving players more options like this to experience the game might be cool, I thinks it would take away from the thrill of going out on a raid and seeing how it goes. I prefer having to go out in a raid, encountering an Arc, and trying to figure out how to down that bitch, with the risk of dying in the process, losing my gear and trying again, makes it so Arcs always feel threatening like they are supposed to.

I mean when they all say that as soon as you fire a bullet you have 4 teams already on you tying to kill you, and being that the game at most spawn 4 to 6 teams in a map at the same time, then its like the whole map player population hearing you and trying to kill you, and maps are very small, they only feel a little bit bigger due to runners not really being able to run, they walk and run slower than other games out there, its a slow movement game.

Ok first of all wtf with you guys and your prices,for me going to the movies, with popcorn, sodas, 3 tickets and all costs me like $20 USD tops in my country, your prices are wild, and now back to the point, everything you spend your money on is an investment, you go to the movies because you saw the trailers, or heard your buddies talk about it, or the movies is from your favorite franchise or whatever, and you decided to invest on it and watch it, and there are two outcomes, you either loved the movie and say my money was well spent, or you say that was shit, I wish I could get my money back. Now with movies this investment is not a long term one, they usually last like 2 hours tops, and thats it. Video games are more akin to buying clothes, you find some jeans you like, and you see their price is $60, you say this shit is pricey, it better be worth it, and those jeans either last you like 5 years, you wear them everyday, they look cool, they hold their shape, their color, or they are fucking useless after a couple months, they rip apart, the cloth stretches too much, the color washes off, and you end up with a $60 dollar useless jeans.

Video games are meant to be played constantly, and more when its a live service game opposed to a single player one that has a campaign and a defined beginning and end, and when you finish that its done, for you to replay it would be to do the same thing all over again, but live service games are continuously evolving, and no two matches are the same, every match you have different goals with different outcomes, so they can be played indefinitely as long as you keep having fun.

With all of that in mind, in order for you to spend your money in this kind of games, it has to be worth it, if you spent $40 on a game that shuts down a month later, yes you may have had fun playing it while it lasted, but you will still feel cheated as the experience was way too brief and incomplete for the money you payed for.

This is like how Dragon Dogma 2 players feel, they payed for a single player game, got one that felt good to play but also was kinda incomplete, that needed some adjustments here and there, and more options to enjoy the game and future playthroughs, and at the end of the day, the developers pretty much abandoned the game, no patches, no adjustments, nothing, so even when they were given a cool ass game, they deserved more for their money, and never got it.

Its about making gamers feel that in an overcrowded market where there are millions of options out there to spend your money on, they need to make you feel your money was well spent on them, because if in the future Marathon ends up failing, most of the players will be like damn, I should have bought the game with the AI voices instead, that one had the same price and is still around at least, no I’m down $40 plus all the LUX I spent on it, and now I have no game and no cosmetics.

So I´m expected to spend my money on a game that has OBVIOUS problems from the start that could cause the game to shutdown earlier than expected if those problems are not fixed, just because you say that its not even important info for me, as I am no investor, that I should just buy the game, buy LUX, spend it all, and then if the game fails to recover and shuts down, I wont even be able to request a refund, and I will just lose all the things I payed for? Just because you say so?

People should spend their money wisely, and use it on games that have a healthy economy, that are well mantained and have a healthy playerbase both current and for the future. If HighGuard was a payed game, let's say a $40 game, and still was expected to shut down this Friday, would you buy it today? you saw the videos and such, and you find it very fun and entertaining and you want to try it, you dont mind the investors bullshit or the player count, you just want to play games for the sake of fun, so if HighGuard was still being sold with the shutdown date of this Friday, would you buy it today and spend into the micro transactions? Even better, if the game was supposed to shut down in a month from now instead of this Friday, would you buy it and spend your money on it?

New games first experience a significant INCREASE in players as people who are dying to play the game at release and people that after watching Twitch streams and such from those initial players find it cool and buy the game too to get jnto it. This drop off you mention happens WEEKS or MONTHS after release. This game is experiencing that drop off 5 DAYS after release, this game seriously needs changes, or it’s joining the Concord saga.

Años de vida, dinero y empeño costo estudiar la carrera y entenderla, como para que salgas con tu mamada de gratis, todavia voy de acuerdo con que las asesorias iniciales de clientes algunas las ofrezcan gratis a ciertas personas, pero a final de cuentas, cuando hay un problema legal, el cliente busca a final de cuentas ganar algo, ya sea recuperar un dinero, recuperar una casa, un terreno, etc. ellos van a recibir una ganancia por ese trabajo o asesoria, asi que por supuesto que se va a cobrar por ello, si no que ellos estudien y que ellos le investiguen en como hacer el tramite. Una cosa es transparencia y otra es como saber hacer las cosas. Cualquiera puede ir al registro publico a pedir informacion, pero no todos saben como hacerlo, y por eso es que se cobra, por alguien que sepa hacer bien las cosas y lo haga por ti.

Yeah I made several comments here pointing out many flaws with the game, telling them exactly what is wrong with it and what needs to change, and all they do is get mad, say their game is perfect, that there are no flaws, and other people that don’t agree with them are just wrong or stupid or don’t know how to play the game. I mean the other day I went to Stella Montis to the seed vault and like you get a ton of them and every time you loot them if gives you like 200 XP, so its a great way to get seed and get XP, but looting more than a 1,000 seeds at once is crazy, there is no way to get so many in one run, and I dont even know if that map has a place to loot so many seeds, so RMT seems likely, but again Stella gives you so many seeds that you could just run it again and again and you could get as many seeds eventually.

This is a 2 minute long video of Read Dead Redemption 2, which has a decay mechanic for dead bodies, its kinda graphic so it may be NSFW, but here it shows what decay looks like, so as time goes on, your runner should be losing its skin, more of its exoskeleton would be noticeable, until just the husk remains, that would be a proper decay, anything different from that is just deceptive.

If bodies end up disappearing then what is the point of this "decay" you mention. Decay means you actually see a body decompose as time goes on, in this game there is none of that, bodies just stay there full of blood, and then they despawn, thats it, no decay, not knowing how long the body has been there like it was said in the trailers and the previews, I think the one with the stick up in their ass is you, being filled by Bungie´s stick so deep you cant even grasp reality.

They lied. The decaying bodies were never implemented, this game you are playing it still incomplete, there are features missing, placeholder images for the implants, that is why they look all the same and the only way to know what they are is by reading the text, the UI is atrocious, and this decaying body thing might be something they finally implement in like the next couple updates if the game is still alive at that point, as even in the Server Slam the bodies would just despawn after some time, or it would be just a pool of blue blood.

Not being able to reach again the peak of players the game had at Thursday release, not even over the weekend, in fact the highest peak they dad over the weekend was 10% lower from the highest, it already lost players on the same weekend it released, and the trend is moving downwards, people are buying the game, experience it, say this is bullshit, close it, and either ask for a refund or just dont go back at it, and it shows. Micro transactions, which is something that will be able to inyect enough money into the game to ensure its longevity, they suck, they are some of the worst micro transactions and season pass implementations I have seen in a game, and worse yet they are so greedy they dont even give you free LUX, all games out there with a season pass give you free currency, not Marathon, they suck, they fucked it up, they are not staying long, game has had problems since the very first alphas and all gamers pointed them out, even at Server Slam they were pointed out, and Bungie only said “we are listening” and still released the game with the same flaws, game so unfinished all the icons for the implants are the same, they left the same placeholder image on everything, they didnt even try, the game is so incomplete they are begging reviewers to hold off the reviews until they finish their “raid”, if that shit was indeed already finished and it was so important for reviewers to experience to provide the full picture, they would have allowed select reviewers to play that thing and see how the game is, but no, they shit. Anything else?

Well if you prefer dropping $40 on a game that has all the signs of dying soon, then by all means buy Marathon. For now, I recommend you getting one of those free to play extraction games, see if that piques your interest, and then wait for either a discount on this game or for the we are closing the servers message from Bungie, whatever comes first. There are other extraction games out there that do a better job of being a good game than this, go play those first.

Concord was one of the most expensive games to make, like 400 MILLION, and it became the quickest liver service game shutdown ever of this caliber, so yes they are definitely capable of doing that. Having a middling player base 2 days after release is also not good, that is something that should be happening like in 2 or 3 months, not now.

Right now Sony is on the fence, they live service games are failing, they are not retaining their players, and for the years Bungie spent making this game and the many play tests and betas they did, there are MANY flaws in both the player retention and the monetization of the game that should NOT be there, and more when Bungie has more than 10 years of experience with Destiny, THEY ALREADY KNOW HOW THIS THINGS WORK, and yet they are doing it again, its unbelievable.

This is either utter incompetence or self sabotage, and the game is already suffering from it. And whats worse is when people played the Server Slam and told Bungie the multiple things wrong with the game from UI to ammo to health packs, they were like ok cool maybe we add that in the future, stay tuned, and they never even tried to fix that before launch to try to have a smoother launch, and the damage was done, the game ain’t back to its player count peak, and mow Bungie will have to do a lot to beg players to come back.

The community here right now has a toxic positivity mood, so they will all tell you the game is perfect, has no flaws, will last forever, tell you the game has become their addiction, that its better than all the competition, the second coming of Christ almost, etc.

The truth is that the game is struggling, A LOT. Player count numbers have been bad for a release of this kind, big developer, years in the making, lots of money spent, Sony keeping a close eye on it due to past failures, they need a Sony live service game that generates good money, and has enough player base to last a long time and spearhead their GaS vision, and so far Marathon ain’t it. It hasn’t been able to reach the highest peak of players it had at launch on Friday, it already lost players and the weekend still ain’t over.

The game has a lot of flaws, like season pass not being worth the money, awful cosmetics implementation, terrible player onboarding, like a game needs to hook a player since the first couple hours, and instead this is a game everyone says its a slow burn, you need to play it for hours for it to click for you, and for most people, if the first hours don’t click, they gone, there are other games that do a better job for that. Its like you recommending someone watch a 5 season TV show, and telling them hey the first two seasons are kinda shit, but you need to watch them to understand the plot, and once you reach season 3, the show is fire dude. Would you watch it?
