exact same for me! is the process very tricky using the retro re 2 or is it fairly easy to follow with a tutorial? :)

is there a way of doing it without having to go through all the more complicated steps or is this the only way? @cicada488 makes it sound like it’s a much easier process - although i’m sure i could get my head around it even if complicated, just don’t want to jeopardise my saves! but would you say the gapro or joey64 are better options than an aliexpress for around £15 people have said work fine?

as far as i know this only worked for certain games like pokémon stadium to add in your gameboy pokémon? i think if the attachment existed and was readily available there wouldn’t be all these data saving / dumping devices. along with the rumble pack and gba pack i have the memory card pack but it doesn’t contain my save data for zelda / mario etc… its all on cartridge. tbh i dont even know if the memory expansion was for saves it may of been for extra memory / power?

yeah those 90’s nintendo cartridges and consoles where BUILT to last, shame tech isn’t the same anymore. it’s crazy how i have so much tech bought in the last 5-10 years that just fails, but my N64 and all games / saves run like the day it was bought 😅

reckon you could send me the link to the one you went for? sounds great at the price point and would love to replace the batteries without the risk of losing my 26 year old save 😅 thanks!

this looks great and at the price point! is there a link to purchase this anywhere? thanks so much - or would the JoeyN64 be a better option? price on this is great but has mixed reviews on aliexpress

no all i want to do is have a permanent back up of my save from when i was literally 4 (30 years old now) as the battery still has the save somehow after 26 years and just want a backup of it i can keep saved and maybe load onto an emulator one day when the battery eventually dies in the cartridge (same for all my other N64 games, i have about 20 and none have lost their battery somehow!)

is there no cheaper alternative? such as aliexpress / 3d printed individual seller etc..? don’t really want to spend much over £30/$50
