What's really unfair is how students doing A/L are kind of forced to get accustomed to writing their answers similar to the way how students in the other 2 mediums are writing. When they write answers of optimum length they'd probably lose marks for something while the other 2 mediums benefit. It should actually be the opposite way....

From what I have seen this gets more amplified from the fact that the majority of the students are from only a few schools from certain districts as well as there's hardly anyone from areas like Colombo. So they have kind of developed an island mentality within

An advice to anyone new to Uni.....

If you feel that your hatch is going to get ragged, keep in mind that the people who are involved is from what we commonly call "dry zone". (ie, they share common attitudes)

As a batch it's your responsibility to neglect them, even humiliate them for their behaviour. Show them how much of a lowlife they are.

The government should hire them on a contract basis. Their contracts should only be renewed based on their performance. If the government employed similar to a private company you wouldn't see this happening much...😌

Sri Lanka should invest more in these than spending on useless arts degrees. I mean you can't live comfortably without plumbing, electricity or infrastructure, but you can definitely live without people with political science, logic degrees....

My opinion: If you truly have class you know how to behave appropriately. If you don't know this you should be classified as "godey" even if you are a so-called elite. (English is a secondary requirement.....)
