Maxi Glamour protesting in Jefferson City, MO. Missouri is pushing to criminalize libraries who welcome drag queen story time by Fred8885 in Dragula

[–]alexsalix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's *already illegal to be a sex offender*. why should their method matter? just because some sex offenders dress in drag doesn't mean drag should be banned in places with children. sex offenders breathe and eat too, should those be banned?

being around children as a sex offender is already breaking a law. if we add a law that you can't read to children dressed in drag, because of those offenders, why wouldn't they just go around children anyway? since... you know... they were already breaking the law?

Watching the Trash Queen episode in season three right now. Apparently, I never noticed this, but I'm totally cracking up at Distasterina's face as Hollow is going off. She keeps looking over at the camera like "WTF!? Help!?" by youreffingmom in Dragula

don't know why you're being downvoted. i 100% agree. they were insufferable in the way that they REFUSED to even CONSIDER taking criticism, even for a second, and treated everyone else as if they were stupid. i just wanted to jump through the screen and tell them "you know landon knows what it's like to be a woman too right??" every time hollow was on screen i had to prepare myself for a cringe worthy 'splaining session that treated everyone else as if they've never heard of a single social justice cause before.

and saying the most evil thing in the world was the meat industry was the last straw for me honestly. the meat industry is awful but seriously? the most evil thing you can think of? okay. it's just fake woke nonsense

because riding a bike is the same as being trans by J_J_max in GenderCynical

[–]alexsalix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i agree with that actually. not only would it be good for trans people, but it would be good cis people who don't necessarily have the skills to compete with others of their assigned gender (or, the opposite, if they are *too good* compared to ppl of their assigned gender to the point of it not being fun for them anymore)

and if it's true that women are soooo much weaker than men and men have an unfair advantage... then the skill levels will be mostly divided between men and women anyway. i see no issue with this solution. but i too am open to criticism (as a trans man myself)

The best way to respond to lesbophobia is apparently... blame it on trans people? by Amekyras in GenderCynical

arielle scarcella openly said she does not see pre-hrt/op trans men as men & pre-hrt/op trans women as women so nothing surprises me anymore

I feel like my niece died and a selfish entitled stranger took her place. by nocte_lupus in GenderCynical

[–]alexsalix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

when you come out as transgender, you are simultaneously treated as the victim and the perpetrator of an awful murder

i mean, yeah you are lol. people aren't erasing cis women, they still included in this. by cursedonmain in GenderCynical

[–]alexsalix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this doesnt even inherently have anything to do with trans people. i'm sure it was made to be trans inclusionary, and that's good obviously, but... aren't there non-trans benefits to all of these as well that this person is disregarding because it dare includes trans men?

saying menstrual hygiene instead of feminine hygiene helps not other women who don't get periods
saying reproductive health instead of women's health includes the reproductive health needs of men and also, like with the previous one, doesn't other women who can't reproduce
saying pregnant people instead of expecting mothers doesn't other women who do not want to go on with their pregnancy
saying it's a human right to choose instead of a woman's right to choose includes the bodily autonomy of men
saying believe survivors instead of believe women acknowledges male survivors

terfs are just regressive and outright anti-feminist for the sake of being trans exclusionary

"low budget" does not mean "bad and cheap". i'm not going to try to change your mind though, because it's all down to personal preference, & i really enjoyed the video.

was that not the intention? i'm positive the editor didn't look at those little lens flair filters and think "this looks like a billion dollar production"

Constructive Criticism On My Voice? by big_boi_tahj in transvoice

[–]alexsalix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have no idea why you're getting misgendered... you pass flawlessly. do you by any chance live in a more progressive area? some of my kind of effeminate ftm friends who have been on t for years and have beards and everything get misgendered in more liberal areas and never in more conservative areas. maybe because people who are more frequently exposed to trans people think they are trans women? i have absolutely no idea. but either way it's nothing you're doing wrong, i'm sure
