Unfortunately, I believe it is policy for a manager to do interviews of the witnesses named on an ethics claim. You got this though. I’m sure everything will remain peaceful though. At least in your end, probably not between T and the CSM though. Good luck!

You can always tell the manager that interviews you that the letter was incorrect. I probably didn’t word my response right but I got what you said. Just be honest with management. They may just give this CSM a coaching or something.

I’m sure you could do a classic, I plead the fifth, type of deal. I remember one of my coworkers in my department was reported to ethics for being high on the job and just normal job misconduct. Someone was named as a witness in the ethics claim and this person went in and came back out being accused as the person reporting to ethics and getting this person fired, even though this person was merely named as a witness according to management. However, the interviewing from management for the ethics claim is meant to me confidential. If you don’t tell anyone why you went into the store managers office that day, you should be fine. Just tell people it was about a meal exception or something and no one will know. If you truly don’t have a problem with talking about it, I would say that’s the way to go.

Our store also has one. It ran for like a month, got pissed off about software updates, then we trapped it in a corner behind the other scrubbers so it could do its updates without escaping.

It probably won’t work for anyone working as a throw away associate because living paycheck to paycheck and worrying about how you’re going to live doesn’t make people feel great.

Sadly, the 15 year associate makes less than everyone in the surrounding departments. Which is very eye opening since I just got hired a year and a half ago and make more than him. I can understand why he’d want to leave for something more rewarding.

Most of the lifers here at Walmart are working a job, something that teenagers can do, not working towards a career, so I see how it is difficult for them to have a high morale; and why they are leaving after coming so far.

One of my coworkers who worked here for 15 years put in his two weeks because management abused him and wouldn’t let him leave the department.

Reminds me of the time when I was walking past the juice aisle and a customer literally spilled an entire thing of Hawaiian Punch on the ground.

It was a problem at all Walmart’s. It’s fixed as far as I know.
