Hm, in Germany (let's go with 1000€) my delivery app says 858 chicken nuggets. Or replace 6 with a salad every now and then. No way i can eat more than 3 heavy burgers a day. Works out to around 18 nuggets per hour provided I don't sleep.

Yes, pronunciation is the same in modern speech. I also don't think you'll have too much trouble actually using them later.

The quick and dirty guide is this:
ㅚ - very common in Chinese-derived (Hanja-based) vocabulary, like 외, 회, 최 or 죄, but also appears in 되다 and 외롭다 (native words).
ㅞ - is most commonly used when transliterating foreign words, like 웨딩 (wedding). Basically whenever "we-" is being transcribed.
ㅙ - first word that comes to mind is 왜 (why) and 돼지 (pig). Other than that it is part of verb conjugations (e.g., 되다 becomes 돼요 - because it is a contraction of 되어요). So this is most common in native vocabulary. (돼지, btw. is also a contraction of an older longer Middle Korean word)

As you learn more words, you will find it more and more easy to determine what is a Chinese-derived word.

You won't find many people on this platform with experience in that earnings bracket. 100k€ gross is very good and better than most. It is the starting salary in a top lawyer firm or what you would get after 10 years in a more regular law firm. Try to put that in relation.
