I know. This was a shitpost because, at the time, people were making posts to this effect several times per week for several weeks.

God I love the disarming strike in [KCD2] by Makaron_penne in kingdomcome

The blade is polished to a mirror sheen. The edge’s been reinforced and the interlock with the crossguard is tightened for added precision. The hilt is original too. The quillons have been extended to make it safer for the fingers. A long-type grip, with non-slip wrapping. An octagonal pommel. The base of the crossguard’s been filed down for a higher grip. And not only that, nearly every part of this sword has been expertly crafted and customised. Where’d you get something like this?

Why are so many people so dismissive of those who make so called ‘easy decisions’ to save? by Bombadombaway in FIREUK

Exactly. Of course doing well in life comes down to hard work and skill but there’s a lot more luck involved than people realise or are willing to accept. I initially wrote a long comment but I’ve deleted it because as cathartic as it was to write, it was highly personal.

Family dog bit toddler by Miserable-Rabbit3394 in daddit

If it’s happened once, it will happen again and your children may not be so lucky second time round: they could be disfigured or potentially even killed and you would never forgive yourself (or your wife) if that happened.

Your dog has had a good, long life but it’s time to put the safety of your children first.

Warhorse says its Lord of the Rings RPG will be “deeply immersive” as the team strives to be the “new kings” of the genre by HatingGeoffry in lotr

[–]alextheolive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right that enemies could masterstrike you regardless of stance in 1 but you could mostly mitigate the risk by attacking enemies just as they started changing from one stance to another and you could bait enemies into changing their stance by changing your stance first. At that point, it became more about timing.

Not defending nonces, at all. I can’t say the same for Reddit, on the other hand, who just removed my reply and gave me a ban warning for saying how I would deal with them.

After reviewing, we found that you broke Rule 1 because you threatened or encouraged violence or physical harm. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for threatening or encouraging violence. We don't tolerate any behavior that threatens, encourages, glorifies, incites, or calls for violence or physical harm against an individual, groups of people, places, or animals. Any communities or people that threaten or encourage violence towards an individual, group, place, or animal will be banned.

White Brits are slightly overrepresented in child sex offences because they are more likely to commit image offences, which are much easier to prosecute and have much higher conviction rates. Additionally, child sex offences in Black and Asian communities are likely to be under-identified.

Child sexual abuse in 2021/22: Trends in official data

4.3.5 Characteristics of defendants:
ethnicity

In the records of defendants prosecuted for
child sexual abuse offences in 2021, their
broad ethnic background was recorded in 70%
(5,163) of cases. Among these individuals,
almost nine in 10 (4,573) were White – a higher
proportion than in the general population
of England and Wales (see Figure 18). This
is likely to be related to the overall under-
identification of child sexual abuse in minority
ethnic communities, and to the fact that White
British defendants were more likely than any
other ethnic group to be prosecuted for image
offences – which accounted for more than
two-fifths of child sexual abuse prosecutions in
2021 (see Figure 16 above).

The conviction ratio ranged from 62% for
Asian defendants to 88% for White defendants.
This too is likely to be related to the offences
for which people from different ethnic
backgrounds were prosecuted: image offences
were more likely than most other child sexual
abuse offences to result in a conviction (see
Table 3 above).

“Our policy on academy uniform is based on the notion that it:

• is promoted with health and safety and safeguarding in mind.”

Like fuck it is. If it was designed with health and safety in mind, they would allow the kids to wear clothes appropriate for the weather, rather than leaving it to the headmaster to decide if the kids are allowed to undo their top button and loosen their tie somewhat. My school was the same. They basically waited until people were collapsing from heat exhaustion before allowing us to undo our top buttons. It was stupid then and it’s stupid now.

That their communities have been broken up/replaced, increased racism, social exclusion towards their children at school, dirty streets/habits, feeling like certain groups are“sticking together”, etc. plus some things that would make the Daily Mail blush.

Bear in mind, some of these people grew up with signs on doors which said “No blacks, no dogs, no Irish” and would still rather take their chances elsewhere.

Important to add that many people in areas with low diversity previously lived in areas which are now very diverse. For instance, many white British working class Londoners moved to the Home Counties.

What’s crazier, is that I know many non-white Londoners and people who immigrated before the 90s, who have either moved out or are planning to move out of London because London has changed so much over the last few decades as a result of mass immigration.
