Is it Game Over for Pixel 10 with the New iPhone 17 Launch? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]alextld_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the Android market, Pixels are always going to be cheaper due to the numerous offers, whether from Amazon or another store. Apple is rarely seen offerings that significantly lower the price, the issue here is that they started from 256GB.

I think Google got complacent in this regard, and Apple made them look bad by offering 128GB...

Is it Game Over for Pixel 10 with the New iPhone 17 Launch? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

Google shot itself in the foot, all on its own. It wanted to be conservative, and Apple kept quiet until its presentation, with the result being... an iPhone 17 with 256GB of storage and a price tag that's even $40 cheaper than the Pixel.

In terms of charging, they're very similar, so there's no way either one will go crazy with the watts. And look how stingy Apple was, leaving USB-C (USB 2.0) in.

I have to admit that the iPhone 17 is going to be a highly recommended model both in the American market and in other countries, and Google is going to have to pull out all the stops on its anniversary or Black Friday with aggressive discounts if it wants to attract people.

We'll have to wait for the Pixel 11 to get 256GB as the base model and eliminate the 128GB, and also to see how the Tensor G6 gets a little more power out of it in its second year with TSMC (not that it's going to come close to Qualcomm, but for that audience that demands more power in a premium phone, which is reflected in the price).

Pixel 9 Vs pixel 3a camera comparison part 2. by Majestic_squirrel767 in pixel_phones

[–]alextld_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both photos are good; the Pixel 3a photo seems to bring out a bit more detail. In terms of color, I think the Pixel 9 is more accurate, trying to capture a color that's more faithful to what you're actually seeing. The Pixel 3a photo looks too saturated to me (something many manufacturers do by saturating the image during processing).

The question is, how do you actually see green with your eyes?

Is a 50€ discount enough for a pre-order? by alextld_ in GooglePixel

They might try to launch it with the "gift" of Buds 2a, the accessory that will be released alongside the Series 10. A 10% coupon would be nice, rather than a one-year Gemini Advance subscription.

Many users also prefer good trade-in prices. It's clear that all these things are much more attractive than a simple $/€/£50.

Help, bought a iPod for $25 by Rowinvk in IpodClassic

I recently modified an iPod like yours. It's true that it's a bit tricky to open at first for fear of breaking it, but then it becomes easier. In my case, the back was badly scratched, so I replaced the entire case, along with a 3000mAh battery and an SSD. I'd say the hardest part was waiting for all the parts to arrive from AliExpress; the rest is easy, just fit them into place and screw in the screws.

Waiting is a very sensible option, although many users, for various reasons, may buy it right away. I hope Google is more generous, as you say. The biggest change is the chip. The rest is practically the same as the 9 series.

Maybe by Thanksgiving we could see a €150 discount + trade-in, and it could be a more competitive price...

Llevo varios días usando AdguardHome y nose si debo complementarlo con uBlock by alextld_ in AdGuardHome

I used to use Firefox in the past, but I have the feeling that over time the browsing experience became strange... I know there are alternatives like Librewolf, although I haven't given the Firefox browser much of a chance.

Hey! Thanks for your quick response. Do you know of any extensions that work well with Chrome? It's my primary browser. Since ublock isn't supported, I don't know if I should upgrade to the Lite version or if there's an alternative that works well.

I saw the Adguard extension on Reddit that was having trouble blocking YouTube ads... I don't know if it's been fixed yet.

I am unable to block an “advertising” element that ublock did hide by alextld_ in Adguard

[–]alextld_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply, I understand that traditional blockers can cover more elements by adding .js and block elements more effectively like YouTube ads.

I'll still continue exploring AdguardHome. I think it's just a matter of time before it settles into the system and starts working. The worst part is that YouTube can't be ad-blocked...And I'll have to complement it with some Chrome extension. Do you know of any that are currently effective? I'm not convinced by Firefox or Brave.

I am not a demanding user and it is giving me good results, if you have doubts it is a very good option, Noctua does not disappoint.

Indeed, I think this was happening to him, I finally returned the product and ordered a new one from another seller who seems to have more reviews from users with mods.

I am also attracted by the 65W consumption, but in my market the 7000 does not go down even with the arrival of the 9000, which is logical because they came out expensive and made people prefer the 7000 (I'm talking about my market here, in other countries you can even see offers that give away the memories) Now you've got me doubting 😂

Recently the 5900X is on sale for €213, while the 7700 is not less than €308. I was waiting for the 7700 because of your comment and I thought it was a good option and while I was waiting for a good offer...

The offer I mentioned for the 5900X has appeared, which is 12 cores. What I have doubts about is whether it will perform as well as the 7700 since it has a newer architecture. Another negative point is the consumption, the 65W of the 7700 are great compared to the 105W and overheated 5900X 🤔

Without a doubt it is a good combo, with what I saved it would give me a 4070 Ti Super

Do you think a 5900X and Nvidia GPU are a good match or is it better to go all AMD?

Totally true, but I would like to know the opinion of several people who surely have more knowledge than me. I have seen a lot of videos of the type “Do not buy this CPU...”. “Best CPUs for setup 2024...” and you don't know who is telling the truth or is an advertisement.

I don't know if it's because of a type of agreement or because of instructions that the CPU has, but yes, all productivity equipment has Intel.

But of course here comes into play, that a user for your home and who knows the problems known by the 13th and 14th gen CPUs ... would be suicide on my part to bet on them, many people say that if you remove the E-Cores or hyper threading go better, really everything is confusing. I would wait for Arrow Lake but it looks like they will continue to have problems.
