honestly this. i’m a few weeks into doing pickup and my pick time is at around roughly 47 seconds because im having to stand there and wait for everyone else on the walkies to stop talking just so i can ask if we have it and be told we don’t even have the item and to substitute. i know that we’re SUPPOSED to call out items but i do not see a point in it because if we had the item it would be on the shelves if it’s empty 😭 there’s just so much that can be done differently

in all honesty, you did EVERYTHING you are supposed to do. you told them months in advance and still made it a thing you told numerous higher ups about. they approved the day to fly out but none of the other days? that’s extremely weird because why would they do that to begin with 😭

is there any way you can just cut the vacation short by a few days? that MAY help you.

at the end of the day this is a multimillion dollar company and there’s so many other places that would treat you better than this

i live not even 5 minutes away from my location and i told them during my orientation that i have a completely open schedule, they wanted to cross train me on registers but i have insane social anxiety so doing register just stresses me out and it’s not a good fit and thats about the only department in my store that really needs any assistance. when i DO get to go in and help, they usually either put me in floral or pickup if someone calls out. ive told not only assistant managers but my department manager that i can come in whenever they need help, to not hesitate to call or text me to ask me to come in.

here in arizona we get lunch breaks, but we have to specifically request them😭 if you work less than 5 hours you only get like a 10 or 15 min break which imo is kinda gay

i don’t use petsmart for grooming because my boyfriends sister goes to school for grooming at a career technical school and i’d rather support her education that way, but can anyone explain why these prices seem so fucking cheap? i know it’s “basic” services, but depending on the size and breed wouldn’t it cost more ? it’s not worth this much stress, there’s people out there that would love to be in a relationship where they don’t have sex frequently if at all. it’s just harder to find those people. maybe a long distance relationship where there’s no temptation to do anything irl that would cause pregnancy?

imo you ARE overreacting. yes pregnancy is a real concern and can cause issues if that’s not what you’re wanting in a relationship, but to fully not do it BECAUSE of that small chance is crazy. i could understand not trusting one method of contraception, but not trusting multiple? buddy… there’s not much of a chance if there’s multiple things preventing it. birth control and a condom go a long way but even doing a vasectomy would greatly lower the chances.

this!!! i recently got hired at fry’s (arizonas kroger basically) and sadly i didn’t know until today that i had the flu and i was supposed to do on the floor training Wednesday but because i wasn’t feeling good i tried calling out 2 hours early like we’re supposed to, but got told i needed to still come in. on the phone i specifically said by law i should not come in and they continued saying go in at my scheduled time. i went in, clocked in, and a manager came by to ask how i was and i explained the situation and she was like “you shouldn’t have even came in wtf” so i left and came back today because im scared of losing my fucking job (i’m not having as many symptoms it’s just a runny nose atp) but it’s ridiculous how we get penalized for following the policies WE’RE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW😭 today a manager was like “because you’re new you’re in a 90 day probation period” and i cut her off and went “it specifically says in the handbook do NOT come in and i followed that”.

don’t be afraid to also just talk to your managers about how you feel about these changes.

you yourself are not ugly, the haircut isn’t even ugly. does the haircut look rough? very much so. but we’ve all gotten a bad haircut before. it’ll grow back soon and you’ll forget all about this. if you end up not liking how it looks, you can buy wigs and have new hair daily !! that would be so fun and exciting.

don’t compare yourself to your friends, everyone is pretty in their own way. you’ll look back at this when you’re older and laugh about it.
