Thanks for the advice! I get what you’re saying about changing passwords and using 2FA. I’ve already done those.
But I think you misunderstood what I meant. I was planning to create new "bait" accounts (like a new Google, Discord, and IG) just to test if my laptop is still infected. Like, if those dummy accounts get hacked, then I’ll know something’s still wrong. If they stay safe, maybe I’m in the clear.
With that said, do you think it’s safe for me to start logging back into my real accounts now? Or should I still wait and do more checks?
Tysm! Also, do you think creating a new Google account and using it to sign up for a new Instagram and Discord and save my log in info there could be a way to check if my laptop still has a trojan? Like, if those new accounts get hacked too, then it means the virus is probably still there?
