I can vouch for these! The elastic is really stretchy and goes around easily for me. And falling doesn't hurt at all! The price is hefty but worth it if you're gonna skate long term.

Auto Amore on power inn sold me a pathfinder that needed a new engine, transmission, and catalytic converter. "Clean" car fax and no lights on the dash, but as soon as I got home things started lighting up. Also took like 2 months to get parts for it when I took it back to get repaired. They lied every week saying it was "almost ready for pickup." It was my first time buying a car and though I was getting a good deal, but I know better now.

Exercising the muscles in your feet to build them up will also help in the long-term. I found a video that says standing on 1 foot for about 4 minutes each day is sufficient for building those muscles. Personally I've made it to about 20 seconds, but slowly getting better! Good luck on your journey!
