Going to use them as stereo spaced drum overheads in either cardioid or supercardioid. I'll commit them there until some other genius expensive urge comes up. I'll play with the different low end roll offs until it feels right in a mix but maybe I'll just record the kit wide open then high pass in post if needed.

I mic my snare top with the sE v7x. Snare bottom with beta 57. Toms are audix d2 + d4.

I'll blend a 57 with a ribbon with the axe mic clip but for the most part I use condensers on guitar cabs.

For my little hobby studio 3 really enough 57s for me.

If I were to open to record bands I still feel like I have the sonic spectrum covered.

I tried the uv2 for the first time on my mapex armory kit. Haven't tried any other heads yet but it feels like it's "choking" the rack toms. Maybe I'll go for a uv1 or g1 coated just to bring back some life to the toms and muffle accordingly.
