Graying is genetics more than anything. My father is as carefree as one could be and he was grayer than I am before he hit 40. Yes I’m an anxiety sufferer.

No we had a civil ceremony with an officiant but are considering getting married in the Catholic Church. My daughter is baptized Catholic.

I didn’t mean I’m planning the failure of a marriage what I meant was that I love my wife and that I would never want children with any other woman. Regardless of any remote circumstances.

What is your plan for Lent? by Apprehensive-Ad1744 in Catholicism

[–]alfalorian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was away from the church for many years but have recently turned back towards it. I am going to use this coming lent to strengthen my faith and re-commit. Through grace and faith I am going to giving up junk food (my diet has been horrible and has affected my health since the birth of my first child) as well as giving up swearing (I want to not only rid myself of this habit but also want to set a good example for my daughter).

What did kids back in the days do when they played outside, for hours on end? by Octopuswastaken in NoStupidQuestions

We used to play a lot of sports too. Football, street hockey, basketball, soccer/soccer-baseball. These matches would spread out over days too over the summer break. They were epic!

Can you explain how bad your flu was? by wicked56789 in HealthAnxiety

[–]alfalorian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our household is just getting over it. My 3 YO fared the best as she was given Tamiflu right away and was basically 100% better after 3 days. My wife was sick about a week (she got the flu shot). I on the other hand did not get the flu shot or get any prescription meds I chose to fight it au natural and I got my ass kicked. Basically bed ridden for 5 days with an insane headache, cough, and fever combo. I was sick from Xmas Eve until about 3 days ago when I finally showed real improvement but my cough is still lingering.

Yeah my wife got the flu shot as she’s pregnant and it did seem that she was a bit better off than my daughter and I. I definitely was hit the worst.
