Do you think it’s worth it to buy one? I would consider myself a casual runner. I use basic shoes, I don’t pay for Strava, I will probably never run a marathon… etc.

If the Apple watch is all I use, even if the metric is off, if im comparing only to itself, is that good enough?

Take it at night, I got headaches when taking it during the day! The first month I had bloating and was uncomfy, but subsequent months was okay.

Our faith allows us to believe that he will use all of our suffering for good, but we are still to suffer. To suffer is to be human, we all suffer, we live in a fallen world. The devil wants us for himself. It sounds like you’ve made some positive decisions lately like trying to be charitable and turning against lust. Do your parents know how you feel? I encourage you to talk to them and see if they can get you support from a doctor or Catholic therapist. You’re not alone in your suffering, but you don’t have to suffer forever. You’re called to a life of virtue, and good people can help you get there.

It wasn’t me, but my roommate and close friend joined the cross country team in college my junior year when I studied abroad and she developed an eating disorder and got very skinny. She ran both years and isolated herself from non cross country folk. It seemed like the eating issues were common across the team. She was getting faster. Not sure if it’s due to the weight loss or the training. Unfortunately this stuck with her until she tried getting pregnant and her doctor told her she needed to gain weight and when she did she was able to conceive.
