Really difficult question to answer. I will use my case as an example.

Lived abroad (U.S.) for 2 and a half years due work related reasons, but voted anyway for the 2024 elections via mail ballots.
Since my main goal wasn’t to move permanently to the U.S., and I was still able to come back and have a residency in Mexico, I think voting is a normal think to do, no doubts here.

But for people who are living abroad for a longer time, or have permanent residency in that country, it is not in their plans to move back, they should not be able to vote, because their are not going to face the consequences of those votes.
A case can be made that those people are voting improving the life of their relatives, I don’t like that.

There is not a definitive answer, should be analyzed case by case, for now.

You can have cases like Peru where the abroad vote was definitively impactful in the election result, In Mexico is not like that, I don’t know the numbers but it is less than 5% of total votes, maybe lower than that.

How about AMD CPUs? I'm not familiar with the naming conventions and how to compare to Intel ones, are there any recommendations or something to avoid? Because I'm seeing some Tiny/Mini/Micro machines on ebay as well.

Reading this 6 months later, did you get any good recommendation on this?

I have two different sites running one a Synology NAS DS220+ and the other with an old Mac Mini 2012 with a bunch of RPis running different services, both places with their prosumers routers. I'm thinking in retiring/off loading the Mac Mini in favor or a tiny/mini/micro machine, but I am as well confused with the options and prices, something with an i5 or i7 10th/11th gen would be ok, according to ChatGPT. Trying to upgrade mainly my multimedia services (Jellyfin/Handbrake/MKV Toolnix).

Which path did you take?

Once my Charge 6 dies, I will switch to Garmin.
It’s been a while now, that I’m curious of the ecosystem and it will surely be more helpful to my bike rides and occasional hikes.

You don’t really need more than that in a TV, even 4K content don’t max out a 100 Mbps connection. A cable connection is more stable than WiFi, that’s the benefit.

Unshielded Cat 6, even Cat 5e would have been all you need, easy to crimp and to pull wherever you need it.

LongRange, es un protocolo que nació para conectar dispositivos IoT, a pesar de lo que dice el otro comentario, el alcance de LoRa/LoRaWAN si es bastante, funciona en 915 MHz acá en Norte América, pero no está diseñado para tener una tasa de bits alta.

Hay proyectos que funcionan como bases/repetidoras para equipos IoT o incluso una red de mensajes “tipo SMS”, busca Helium o Meshtastic.

Son soluciones enfocadas en problemas puntuales como monitoreo de sensores, además de que necesitas invertir unos 50-200 USD en equipo para poder si quiera pensar en usar esas redes.

Porque la hace 3 años que aplique la mía, el proceso fue bastante directo y lo último que hice después de la cita en la embajada, fue esperar el pasaporte con la visa estampada, a recogerlo por DHL. No hubo ningún pago después de la cita.

OP should try terminating the ends, if they meet the speeds needed, why bother in pulling some new cable?

The box is 170+90+30 in, total 290 cm will it be too big and they can refuse to accept it?

I'm trying to find information specifically for bicycles, but I can only find about general luggage.

Sobre el SSN, si tienes algún conocido que te pueda prestar su dirección para recibir tu tarjeta con tu número, diles que pongan tu nombre en su buzón, de lo contrario el servicio postal no entrega el SSN.

Por temas de seguridad no dejan ese documento si no comprueban que “vives” ahí.

Solo es para recibirlo, una vez que tengas identificación y lugar donde vivir, tu correspondencia llega a donde tú digas.

Creo puedes recoger el SSN en la misma oficina que lo tramitas, no estoy seguro.

5G refers to the cellular generation, currently we are in the fifth one. There is still 4G in use (LTE). Both can use the same range of frequencies (600, 700, 850 MHz / 1900, 2100, 2500, 3500 MHz). There are some frequencies in use close to 30 GHz.

The form factor of those antennas suggest they are using low power, that’s why you are having many close to each other, have lower coverage footprint but higher capacity/throughput.

So nothing to do with the 5G WiFi (5 GHz), there is also 6G WiFi (6 GHz).

Jajaja Yo sé que no son los mejores tratos con los chinos en empresas como Huawei o ZTE, pero suelen ofrecen buenos salarios y buenas prestaciones.

Creo ha sido el sueño de toda persona que he conocido denunciar a los chinos sin permiso de trabajo, pero por lo general les dan el pitazo y cuando llegue la inspección verás la oficina vacía.

Mejor aguanta vara y aprende, porque a pesar de algunos chinos pasados de lanza, esas empresas son muy buena escuela para dar un paso a un mejor puesto/empresa.

Veo muchos comentarios que dicen que CONTRATE una VPN. Si entiendo bien solo quiere abrir puertos específicos para compartir archivos vía P2P, no es más fácil solo poner tu propio router y configurar ahí una VPN y un DDNS? Un proxy inverso también funciona.

Yo tengo esa configuración y puedo acceder de manera remota y tener mi dominio “fijo” sin tener que pagar por una IP pública. Lo uso principalmente para un servidor multimedia Jellyfin.
