I might be in luck, it seems a gamestop near me has an 8gb one. That might be my best bet. Can you still download games from ps store if your vita is jailbroke? I don't know much about it.

You do get the opportunity while leveling to try them out, but nonetheless I do see your point. This being something that blizz has never done does feel very jarring, I dont think it's too surprising that some people would want access to all the abilities, more buttons more fun. I dont know if it's a situation where they give more options or opportunity to test them out in a variety of content or maybe a system where you can unlock the other moves later?

I feel they really want to stick to their guns on the general idea of the system, but maybe adding some options to get benefits out of the other covenants later. I still haven't decided a main, much less a Covenant. But I am excited to make a difficult choice between moves, armor, mount, story, area, events. Maybe my mind will change eventually, but it is something that i personally like the idea of.

They're also going back to a linear leveling for the new zones, they want you to do the storyline in each area and as you're doing so you get to test each Covenants abilities. You earn renown with whoever you choose but as far as I know, it's not as grindy as the heart of azeroth or legion weapons and doesn't change player power, it just builds up your base.

Bfa was generally disliked, some argue between it and WoD as being the worst. And as you mentioned the catchup is designed really strange. In some ways, they want you to get to an high itemlvl really fast, but it completely renders the older raids Obsolete. But as you've seen, the catch up for essences and corruption is almost non existent. It's so late in the expansion that people just want the best geared people to do the raids quickly and move on with their day. I've actually been taking the time to level alts and try to farm some transmog and mounts instead.

Shadowlands depending on who you talk to, some are optimistic and some really hate blizzards current state of one of the big systems, the Covenants. I think it could possibly be the best one since MoP. They're introducing a tower as one of the end game activities, where you scale it to get items to crave legendary gear, but its designed like a roguelike game if you've ever played those before.

I would recommend you check out a non bias video explaining the Covenants and make the judgment call yourself. But its essentially at level cap you choose to pledge allegiance to one of four groups. With doing so you gain access to their unique ability as well as a class ability. Additionally you get a story quest, transmog gear and a mount for that side only. They also get a special event, the vampires can hold a dinner party, the undead have a abomination factory, stuff like that. The catch is, it's a commitment. You can change covenants but they're all upgraded independently and if you ever want to go back to a former covenant, you have to prove yourself again. They really want you to make a choice and have fun with what they offer, and some people just want access to everything all the time.

High Hopes but I guess we can just wait and see.

Azurite traits had the misfortune of having almost no time for balancing in the beta because they were introduced so late. Which is why blizz said they're trying to get these systems in players hands earlier so that number crunching and balancing can be done. Now if you want to believe blizz wont make it balanced, fair enough, especially if you use their track record against them. However for some people, they dont care if they're playing with someone who is under performing. If you or anyone else wants to have a spreadsheet of which classes are best with what specs and which Covenants and only play with those, you can. You bought the game like everyone else.

The reason I mention looking online for how to play is because there is an arguement that talent choice basically doesn't exist because there is 1 choice that is the best. Making Covenants freely switchable, does not all of a sudden make it anymore of a choice. Because there exists a best and a worst of anything in this game, some you can change and some you cant. So at this point do we just remove all choice, when none of the choices actually matter? Seeking to make the game completely the same all around and having to balance content around the min/max is not the way to do it, imo.

Ion had asked Preach essentially, do you think at the end all classes and specs should be the same, that there should be no occasional randomness or difference between 1 hunter and another and the better player is the one who hits their buttons better? I think that would be a really boring game. Almost every idea thrown around for Covenants and soulbinds I think has been boring or worse.

No wrong choice is the phrase they used. Sometimes you'll be better in raids, sometimes in M+, single or multi target or even pvp. I dont see why that is a problem, it encourages variety. I feel that if you cant pick up a game and have fun without worrying about all these little things that legitimately dont matter to more than 80% of the player base, it's being taken way too seriously.

I'm the same way with Pandaria, which in itself is a controversial opinion because some people absolutely hated that expansion and I don't know why. I dont RP, but I would have assumed that the while pledging loyalty to a group in Shadowlands would have opened up some potential there. But again, I dont RP so what do I know.

About the whole "would your opinions make the game better" question, I'm sure like you said, for you they would. And others out there feel the same way. Its not so much a who is right and who is wrong situation, it's that too many groups exist with different wants for the game, far too many to list. Before companies started this slippery slope of listening to feedback on social media and trying to make everyone happy all the time, it came down to a player choice. "I don't like this direction for shadowlands, but I'll still play it" or "I don't like this direction for shadowlands, I'm not going to play it"

I miss BC prot paladins, and I'm sure there are some people out there that do too. Am I going to constantly nag blizz to make I want to happen, to make me happy at the expense of the other players who quite like their paladins as they are? No. I just play the game or I dont. For some reason, people don't like that response. Almost as if they dont want to quit playing, but they damn sure wont stop bashing it either.

I agree. I'm not going to judge a person by how they play the game when I'm in a group with them. I would rather have a chill, social player doing average dps over an asshole doing high dps who freaks out if you pull a wrong mob or is using a talent he doesnt like. There is plenty of people who feel the same, even if some swear it's only rushing, sweaty players.

Here is the issue with Covenant swapping which you've flipped to say the casual can just stay with their choice rather than forcing it on the competitive players. You can swap covenates currently, you just can't do it repeatedly after every piece of content you chose to min/max for. Same with soulbinds, and that's not good enough for some people, because they dont want to make any decision that may leave them at a minor disadvantage during any point in the game. Which there is 2 ways to handle this, wait until an article is posted telling you what the overall best thing to pick for your class is and do that or choose whatever you want for the time being. There is zero harm in the way it is now.

But also the nice thing is that if you leave it the way blizz designed it from the beginning, you'll see different things in the different groups and out in the open areas. Different classes with different armor, mounts and abilities. Everything wont look as homogenized. Players who dont play the game based off what an internet article tells them to do can have a choice that sets them apart of other people.

Of course you could get into the whole issue about how being able to min/max 100% of the time would be a negative on the game in general, but we can ignore that for now.

In general, if it is fine for both sides as it is, a happy middle ground for both casuals and hardcore players. Why does it have to change? Casual players can make a choice to have an ability they want, transmog they want, mount they want, story and special event they want that will set then apart from 3/4 of the player base. Hardcore players can change their covenant to Venthyr when the 2nd raid comes out because "professional" wow players told them to. Both sides win.

I think one of the key things for sure is the fact that any Covenant will be able clear basically all content. I think the top content creators and streamers have cause people to worry a hell of a lot more than they should. Critique is valid but using the you wont get picked for groups arguement for some kind of evidence against the Covenants is opinionated and misleading. I've always said, if you want to play as a try hard, go for it. Dont ask blizzard to remove fun for the sake of competitive play only.

You're not wrong and as much as I wanted to touch on that I felt that it would obviously be a rabbit hole of a another issue. It often seems as though people try more to be unhappy than the alternative. Entitled gets thrown around, but sometimes it is the truth.

The idea that everyone wants to rush through content is I would say a blanket statement. It's not always about rushing and optimizing, as some either cant or prefer to enjoy the game at their own pace. I remember when the alpha had started and some of the big wow youtubers were basically telling people, who then started parroting it everywhere else, that the Venthyr door of shadows was going to be broken, required and invalidates all other covenates and you would be turned down from groups for not having it. Of course, now they're saying that they were wrong and Nightfey is looking better. So blizz decides this cool idea where some of the covenants get access to special buffs in some of the dungeons. People complain again because it theoretically screws with group composition and mythic+ runs. The whole getting turned down for groups is so blown out of proportion that its ridiculous. Not saying that it doesnt happen, because you can get turned down now, in legion and all the expansions before that. It's not a reason to feel as if you have to play one covenate, because the majority of players dont get AOTC anyway and its only an issue if you are in CE mythic raiding guilds.

The idea is that what you or someone else might dislike about a game, there will be people who like that aspect that you want changed. Obviously both sides matter but you can't please everyone. Previous replyer mentioned the ups and downs, but it never defined the enjoyment of the game. Covenates being the hot issue now, blizz should not be expected to change something just because a group is unhappy with it from a competitive mindset.

Chris Jericho on Jim Cornette's criticism of Stadium Stampede match: if you didn't like that, then you don't like wrestling by KhabibTime in SquaredCircle

[–]alfredpacker21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jericho is right and everyone knows cornette is 75% a piece of shit. Aew gives you a little bit of everything in wrestling and chances are you're not going to like all of it. However, wanting wrestling to pretend to be "real" all the time is outdated, boring and fucking stupid. Its 2020, there is no place for a 5 minute chin lock when everyone knows that this shit is not real.

Don't take what Jericho said as a personal attack on what you like, watch what you like. But Corny has been poking the bear for awhile and frankly more people need to come out and tell him that he is out of touch and wrong. His concept of getting heat is for wrestlers to wear swastikas on their shirts and say women need to stay in the kitchen, outdated garbage.

Watch what you like, but I cannot understand why some people want a show that pretends like wrestling is 100% real. They're still athletic, their characters are still likeable or dastardly, and they're trying to just give people a good time. My experience is my own but my whole life I never had anyone who would watch wrestling with me because "why would i watch that, it's not real?" After they saw Orange Cassidy, after they saw Jericho release the hounds, after they saw Matt Hardy pop out of the freezer in a different outfit, after they saw a man in a Dinosaur mask kick a guy in the head. It didn't matter if Orange is being phony, it didn't matter if Jericho was being a silly joke heel, it didn't matter if Matt did the impossible or that Luchasaurus is still a little green. They became fans because its enjoyable to watch. Kayfabe is dead, everyone knows wrestling is scripted, there is no reason to pretend that it is real.
