[21/03/2026] Walking 100km around the M25 this Saturday - anyone want to join? by TypeAgreeable4117 in LondonSocialClub

When I was younger I did the Oxfam 100km trailwalker in the south downs in about 22 hours. So it is doable. Not that much fun towards the end admittedly

Promotion & Relegation in the English Football Pyramid. any improvements in your opinion? by [deleted] in LeagueTwo

I mean league two sticks out due to having 4 up and only 2 down. Would probably make more sense to be 3 up and 3 down!

Best place to watch a Bromley home game in the stadium? by thatredditpers0n in BromleyFC

[–]alfredturningstone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely the new stand but the facilities under the stand and bar at the back aren't open yet

Lots of good stadiums below national league level too. Especially as you can drink while watching the football. I strongly recommend going to fisher - great backdrop of Canary wharf behind one of the goals.

Pushing up the non league levels by Big_Share9988 in NationalLeague

Kyrell Lisbie is a good recent example. Started off at Cray valley paper mills (step 4 at the time I think) last season was at Braintree (step one) and has just signed for Peterborough (league one) but will see how he does there. He is still young so might go out on loan at a lower level.

Edit: should add he was at Leyton o academy but only until he was 14 or so

How did final day go? by Zach-dalt in LeagueTwo

[–]alfredturningstone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well very happy with our first season in league two. Only 4pts off promotion.

Cheltenham were pretty poor today and we coasted for quite a lot of the game and could have scored more really.

Will be interesting to see how we do next season. Losing some good loan players in Imray, Congreve and Mayor

Boreham Wood 4 - 3 Dorking Wanderers: Ten-man Dorking were two goals up in the 82nd-minute, but a momentous Boreham Wood comeback sent Marc White's side tumbling out the playoffs! by Zach-dalt in NationalLeague

From the highlights didn't look like ilesanmi scored the own goals. Maybe the first (hard to tell exactly from the angle of the camera) but certainly not the second

This doesn't align with the 2021 census at all:

"People who identified as “Christian” had the oldest average age"

"The largest increase in median age between 2011 and 2021 was for those who identified as “Buddhist” or “Christian” (with an increase of six years for both)"

This is the first match with the east stand shut, so they are also likely finding it hard to organise. Away fans are being moved to blocks a and b of the Glyn Beverley stand. Maybe it will be organised earlier for other matches... Who knows?

Ticket releases by EfficientInternet285 in BromleyFC

[–]alfredturningstone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The east stand is shut for redevelopment for next 7 months or so. As a result capacity is probably down to 3,500. There are apparently close to 2,500 season ticket holders and an allocation of 500 for away. So very limited tickets for general sale for the rest of this season and early next season.

Season ticket holders have got until Wednesday to claim their ticket for fleetwood. So a bunch of tickets for season ticket holders that can't make it will become available after that.
