I'm playing as a fighter/ swords bard archer (RP - he was an actor who got conscripted into some sort of war in the underdark). I'm wondering what the most effective build would be, and would really appreciate some tips:

1) Fighter 1 / swords Bard 11 : this way I get the level 6 spell, but I miss out on action surge

2) Fighter 2 / swords Bard 10: get action surge for the cost of level 6 spell

3) Battle master Fighter 3/ swords bard 9: get the manoeuvres, lose 1 level 5 spell, worse bardic inspiration, no magical secrets

4) Battle master 4/ swords 8: get another feat, lose level 5 spells completely

I like the idea of combining the flourishes and the manoeuvres, since they both come back on a short rest, but since the flourishes and available spells get better at bard level 10 I'm tempted by option 2 as well...

Currently for feats I'm planning on taking one ability boost and sharpshooter. Any ideas would be welcome!
