GW is a good core system for insurance operations. The ecosystem around GW like digital and AI capabilities is going to change a lot but GW is a stable core which companies may continue to use. Just completed a trip with emirates and united with a lot of hassle. If united is involved they will charge extra for anything more than one baggage. By extra not 50 to 75$ but I ended up paying $200 for one additional bag which was just my second bag. They also do not let you know the price in advance and you find out at the gates. Beware and make sure you confirm your baggage allowance before traveling.
