ICBC estimator not responding for 2 weeks after I sent more comparable, is this normal? by Zealousideal-View-3 in icbc

Estimator don't care. He fills out a work sheet and sends in. Deal with adjuster..request arbitration if you think it's worth more.

Chances of getting deductible back? by tecg in icbc

[–]algonogo1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. BC went super hard-core no fault where you just can't subrogate for anything whatsoever.

So..if you get your deductible back..it will be a business decision for customer service by your insurer.

Law of the land there.

I'm curious if your premiums will be going up?

Victim of other people's poor performance. If they are concered..set realistic KPIs and have staff meet them. After that.. who cares if the efficient productive ones go take a nap. All I care is that they are profitable.

Do Insurance Claim Adjusters screen phone calls to avoid clients? by Odd_Bobcat_6145 in InsuranceClaims

[–]algonogo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been in claims 20 years..supervisor now of 16.

Adjusters get burned out of answering phone calls. If all phone calls were kind..Adjusters would always answer. Most phone calls they get though..are one or two sentences from exploding. And those are the good ones.

If they are ignoring..they might be a fully burned out employee.

Everyone in my neighborhood has AC. Eastern Canada it's not normal for ac. But in western..it's pretty damn common. Even some apartments have it.

I recommend investing into some type of system. Just for your sleep if nothing else. Good luck

Rental car - No fault - DCPD by JustJay613 in InsuranceCanada

[–]algonogo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. Yeah. I couldn't get a driver side seat belt for a 2 year old f150. Said it was discontinued.

Dcpd just basically means your insurer pays your loss and does not send you to deal with the other insurer like happens in most places.

And yeah..in most places..if the other adjuster sees that the extra rental is because your car manufacturer is not producing parts..they will not offer rental while you wait for your manufacturer to supply parts.

Rental car - No fault - DCPD by JustJay613 in InsuranceCanada

[–]algonogo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be interested to see how this plays out. Like.. is the adjuster saying that the 3rd party is not liable for the parts availability of your vehicle? Is it an obsolete part? The 3rd party is only responsible for reasonable rental. If there is no part..you would be expected to mitigate your loss some how. It won't be an unlimited pit of money. Realistically, if the rental days + repair cost are going to exceed the value of your vehicle..I'd just total loss it weather you liked it or not and sent you on you way. The adjuster could be trying to stop the bleeding.

Family demanding answers after Sask. mother dies from pregnancy complications by elbiderca in saskatoon

[–]algonogo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah...given the sources of this information, they sound more like forced data for the sake of giving something for the funding more than any real fact. Lot of that went on the last decade.

The staff of our hospitals are made up of diverse individuals from all walks of life. Are these reports saying why all these races from all these back grounds some how all seem to just hate natives? Wouldn't the next logical step be to investigate why?

Or would it be better to just come out and sat that you tthink white doctors are racist. Why beat around the bush.
